Bedside commode stabilization device
A bedside commode stabilization device includes a tubular outer member, a tubular inner member slidingly engaged with the outer member and configured to extend from inside an upper end of the tubular outer member in order to adjust an overall length of the stabilization device. The device also includes a spring loaded boss disposed on the tubular inner member and configured to be received by a series of apertures on the tubular outer member in order to secure the tubular outer member and the tubular inner member at a desired length. A clamp is secured to an upper end of the tubular inner member and is configured to be secured to a portion of a bedside commode. The device also includes a foot secured to a lower end of the device and is configured to provide a foundation when the device is wedged between the floor and the bedside commode.

METHOD FOR RETROFITTING A BUILDING USING A LIFT SYSTEM AND COMPONENT KIT FOR PERFORMING THE METHOD
A method for retrofitting a building using a lift system and a component kit for performing the method are provided. The shaft of the lift system extends over at least two stories 3 and comprises a self-supporting sheet metal box made of at least one steel plate, which is provided for receiving a cabin of the lift system together with its guides and drive devices. The sheet metal box of the shaft has a profiled cross section, which forms a cross-sectional area in the cross-sectional plane within the sheet metal box, which essentially covers the area required by the cabin and its guides and drive devices, and additionally contains the area of a lift platform for bridging a distance between the cabin and the building. The method provides prefabricating the lift system and installing it to the building.
Method for modernizing a building and structure with an elevator system constructed in a building
In a method for modernizing a building, a former stairwell of the building is converted such that an elevator shaft of an elevator system to be constructed can be provided in the former stairwell. The elevator shaft is provided in the former stairwell of the building such that stepless access is facilitated to specific floors of the building from an elevator car of the elevator system, which car can be provided in the elevator shaft. A new staircase is constructed outside the former stairwell. In addition, a former staircase is removed from the former stairwell. Furthermore, access bridges are disposed next to the elevator shaft in the former stairwell, thereby enabling flush access from the new staircase to the specific floors.

Building access system and a method for providing a building with such a building access system
The invention relates to a building access system (100) adapted to be arranged externally of a building comprising a number of storeys, comprising an elevator module (2) with an elevator shaft (2A) for an elevator and a mounting arrangement (3) for mounting to a wall (4) of the building. The access system further comprises at least one balcony module (1,1) comprising one or more balconies (1A,1A,1A,1B,1B,1B), each said balcony comprising a balcony door (16) for providing access to the elevator in a side wall (13). The balcony module (1,1) or modules comprises/comprise one or more separate modules adapted for connection to the building in association with the elevator module (2), or the elevator module and one or more balcony modules comprise an integrated elevator and balcony module. The mounting arrangement (3) is adapted for interconnecting the balcony and elevator modules with the wall (4) of the building.
Method and apparatus for raising a structure
A system and method for raising a structure, or part thereof, the system comprising vertical jack members connected and disposed about a rail system attached about the periphery of the structure. The vertical jack members comprise an outer sleeve and a slidable inner portion that is driven vertically by a jack screw and drive block. Extensible diagonal cross-braces stabilize the jack members and structure being raised.
