20230211981 · 2023-07-06 ·

With a view to a quick and safe construction of an elevator using structurally simple and cost-effective means, a method for constructing an elevator in particular, a freight elevator—on a construction site, and preferably in a factory hall. The elevator is built from several components arranged one atop the other. The method includes providing a base for the elevator; positioning a lifting device on the base; raising an upper component of the elevator by way of the lifting device; positioning a lower component, which is to be arranged underneath the upper component, under the raised upper component; lowering the upper component onto the lower component by way of the lifting device; and removing the lifting device from the base. Further specified is an elevator constructed according to said method.

A system for assembling a tower for a wind generator having a succession of subsections (Si). The system including: a plurality of lifting legs, a lifting structure vertically movable on the lifting legs, the lifting structure including a rigid lifting frame for holding the tower under assembly, the lifting frame including load transfer members and the lifting structure including self-climbing mechanisms interacting between the load transfer members and the lifting legs for elevating or lowering the lifting structure, and at least a first set of gripping arms movable relative to the lifting frame between a retracted configuration and a gripping configuration.

Mobile tower for transportation and remote deployment

A mobile tower for transportation to and rapid deployment at remote sites where the mobile tower can be engaged with the ground, the mobile tower including an extendable and retractable tower secured to a mobile support structure including a frame having a plurality of rapidly deployable outriggers, wherein the tower includes three series of pivotally interconnected tower sections or segments, sections or segments of which engage with segments of each of the other series when the tower is assembled; the mobile tower including a plurality of guy wires secured between the extendable and retractable tower and the respective outriggers to stabilize the tower after the tower is assembled. The guy wires are preferably secured to the extendable and retractable tower at first and second connecting positions that are displaced from one another about an outer perimeter. Methods of deploying the mobile tower are also disclosed.

The invention has for object a system for assembling a tower for a wind generator consisting of a plurality of blocks, comprising:

a structure for lifting each one of said blocks, and

a structure for supporting said lifting structure, the lifting structure being moveable in relation to the support structure between a block-gripping position and a block-holding position, the lifting structure comprising a body for gripping each block.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A TELESCOPING WIND TURBINE TOWER STRUCTURE

A method for manufacturing a tower structure of a wind turbine includes printing, via an additive printing device, a plurality of concentric sections of the tower structure of the wind turbine. The concentric sections may be printed simultaneously from concrete, may include tensioning cables or other structural supports, and may define other support flanges or overhangs. After curing, the method may include raising an inner section of the plurality of concentric sections to a top of an adjacent outer section and joining the two sections. This process may be repeated to telescope the concentric sections and raise the tower structure.

Monitoring and control of a movable tower in an irrigation system

Aspects of the technology described herein provide a system for improved control and monitoring of a movable tower in an irrigation system. A computer controller associated with a tower of an irrigation system receives an indication of parameter modification. The system is then able to change parameters at a component of the tower control system based on the received parameters. The system stores the current drive value at a station to control drive. If the stored drive value is above a threshold level, a drive signal is provided to a motor. The system is operable to selectively apply a drive signal at a tower. The system provides the ability to digitally modify a threshold that is used in a machine run-mode to operate the motor at a tower.

A method of assembling a structure, such as a wind turbine, is disclosed. The method comprises a step of providing a lifting arrangement comprising a gantry disposed over and/or directly above a rail, and lifting means coupled to the gantry. The method further comprises stacking portions of the structure by: conveyably disposing a first portion of the structure relative to the rail; lifting a second portion of the structure using the lifting means; disposing the first portion underneath the second portion by conveying the first portion along the rail; and lowering the second portion onto the first portion. Also disclosed is a corresponding system for assembling a structure, such as a wind turbine, and corresponding clamping and/or gripping system.

Modular systems and methods for transporting tower assembly of wind turbine

A system and method are used for transporting a plurality of tower sections of a wind turbine on beds of transport devices, such as flat railcars. Supports affix at support locations on beds to accommodate at least one of the tower sections on each of the transport devices. The supports can include bed supports, such as tabs, extending from the beds, and can include cradle supports with slots that engage on the tabs. A circumferential dimension of a cradle is adjusted on each of the supports against which the tower section rests. Each of the tower sections is then supported with at least two of the supports by loading the tower sections on the transport devices. An end of each of the tower sections is then affixed to a flange on at least one of the supports on each of the transport devices.
