Chain link fence with internally retained slats and method of making the same
A chain link fence with retained slats including a chain link fence with two or more slats inserted into the fence, each slat haVing two opposing apertures bounding an internal channel and at least one band disposed through the internal channels so as to retain the slats within the chain link fence. Apertures may form cutouts in the slats. The band is flexible and inserted into the chain link fence before installation. The entire system is configured to be rolled and unrolled. A method of making the chain link fence with retained slats is also provided.
Fence structure cover assembly
A fence structure cover assembly is described herein and improves the appearance and function of preexisting fencing. The cover assembly is an interlocking system of fence panels and posts that fits and interlocks over and around preexisting fences and is formed of multiple panels that are provided with aesthetically pleasing indicia and/or textures. The upper and lower protruding panels contain at their ends tongue and groove type locking mechanism to secure the panels at their ends while the first and second panels are further securable via predrilled thru holes to secure the panels together. The first and second panels are mateable and can come in different sizes where a short width may be required.
Chain Link Fence with Internally Retained Slats
A chain link fence with retained slats having slats inserted into the chain link fence and running between the top of the fence and the bottom of the fence. At least one band (which band may, itself, be a single elongate element or a combination of elongate elements) runs transversely across the interior of each such slat through an internal passage. Each band and each slat is inserted into said chain link fence before installation of said chain link fence. Preferably, when viewed looking at the face of the band, each band is tapered, as also is each band when viewed looking at the side of such band. At least one external opening of each internal passage is beveled, and at least one external opening of each internal passage has a concave shape when seen in a plan view looking at the face of each said slat.
WINGED SLAT
A winged slat for retaining the slat inside a chain link fence. The winged slat may have a body with first and second sides and one or more pairs of fins, joined to each other at a vertex, and longitudinally disposed at a side of the slat body. Some versions of the slat include a dual-winged slat with a first pair of such fins on one side, and a second pair of fins on an opposite side. Some slat versions omit a precise vertex and have fin pairs that attach to the slat body at substantially the same location. Fin pairs may be arranged asymmetrically around the slat body. Each pair of fins may have a combination of straight and/or angled fins.

SECURE TENSIONED PERIMETER BARRIER WITH TENSIONING MEANS AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION
A tensioned barrier, comprising a chain link or mesh fence providing a secure perimeter, is provided. The fence is tensioned by grabbing and holding one end of the mesh link, wrapping the mesh around a perimeter of the fence poles, including wrapping the mesh around the outside of corner poles, pulling the mesh at its distal end to create a tension in the mesh and then grabbing the distal end of the mesh and securing it to the final fence pole. The fence is created using a high strength small weave mesh that resists cutting and climbing. In one embodiment the fence is created adjacent a structure, using the structure as an element of the barrier. In another embodiment, a fully fenced area is created by placing the first fence pole at a small distance apart from the final fence pole, with the other poles forming a perimeter, and tensioning and wrapping the mesh around all of the poles, affixing the ends of the mesh to the first and final poles and providing a gate or door between the first and final poles.
Chain link fence with retained slats
A chain link fence with retained slats having slats inserted into the chain link fence and running between the top of the fence and the bottom of the fence. Between the top selvages and the top ends of the slats, between the bottom selvages and the bottom ends, of the slats, or between both the top selvages and the top ends of the slats and the bottom selvages and the bottom ends of the slats is inserted an elongate member having sufficient strength to retain the slats while also being sufficiently flexible to permit the chain link fence with the retained slats and the elongate member or members to be rolled in the traditional manner for a chain link fence, but not so flexible as to prevent the elongate member from being pushed into the desired position within the fence.
Dual-winged slat
A dual-winged slat having a rectangular body further possesses a straight fin and an angled fin on each edge of the body with the free end of the angled fin being angled toward the face of the body which is farther from the place of attachment of the angled fin to the edge. The free end of each straight fin must be closer to the face of the body nearer where the first end of the straight fin is attached to the edge than is the free end of the angled fin on the same edge. No fin may be attached to the edge of the slat more than halfway to the face toward which the angled fin is directed. The fins are preferably asymmetrically arranged. And, also preferable, the straight fin and the angled fin attached to a given edge are attached at the same place.
