FENCE SYSTEM
20180002947 · 2018-01-04 ·

A fence system includes posts, links and fasteners. Once assembled, the fasteners extend through holes of the posts, and each of the fasteners can couple a first end of a first one of the links to a second end of a second one of the links to secure the links to the respective post. Each of the fasteners can apply a clamping force that urges the second end of the second one of the links towards the respective post to bear against the first end of the first one of the links.

Prefabricated modular fencing with advantageously-shaped connectors

A prefabricated modular fencing system comprises first and second fence panels, each panel having opposing side ends. Each side end carries outboard connectors. The connectors have upper sides defining one of a concavity and a convexity and have lower sides defining the other of a concavity and a convexity, and the connectors define a bore within each convexity. The convexity of a connector carried by the first fence panel may be complementary with and interfitted within the concavity of another connector carried by the second fence panel, to assemble the first and second fence panels together. A post is disposed through the bores of interfitted connectors.

Wood-to-Metal Post Clamp with Adjustable Rail Bracket Angle (WTMPCWARBA), Set A, B & C
20220381054 · 2022-12-01 ·

Wood-to-Metal Post Clamp with Adjustable Rail Bracket Angle (WTMPCWARBA), Set (A, B and C) comprised of two Galvanized Carriage Bolts and nuts; and 4 pieces of punched and press-formed from sheet metal (preferably galvanized); Two pieces formed as pipe clamping mechanism and two pieces as rail bracket to be connected to two wooden fence frame members (rails are 2×4s) to an elongated pipe member.

These designs allow adjusting the angle of the rail brackets easily, independently and properly, based on land topology and property boundary path, and at the same time create a sturdy and durable wood-to-pipe connection ideal for hillsides.

Moreover, this invention minimizes the overall fence footprint by a minimum of 1.5 inches (thickness of rail), and at the same time accommodates pickets to be installed continuously without a gap near the round posts/pipes.

This invention has 3 variations (Set A, B and C) to address different scenarios and needs, and can be used in connecting fence rails at ends (first or last posts), corners, straight as well as non-straight and sloping borders. These sets have been designed principally to connect wooden fence frame members to 2⅜ inch metal posts/pipes, suitable for hillside. However, it could be used for other applications as well. The present invention might be better understood from the following drawings and their descriptions.

Radially expanding post extender

A post coupler expands laterally. The post coupler includes a first member that is hollow and has a first slanted face. A second member is also hollow and has a second slanted face that is abutted with the first slanted face. A rod extends through the first and second members; the rod has a head that is disposed at a head end and threads disposed at a thread end. A nut is engaged with the threads, and rotating the nut causes the first member to extend in a first lateral direction and causes the second cylindrical member to extend in a second lateral direction opposite the first lateral direction.

A fence panel coupler 10 comprises a first clamping member 12, a second clamping member 14 and clamping means to connect the first clamping member 12 to the second clamping member 14. The clamping means is arranged to enable the first clamping member 12 to be moved towardsor away from the second clamping member 14 in order for the fence panel coupler 10 to be releasably clamped to a fencing structure. In particular, the fence panel coupler 10 is arranged to secure a fence post (or pole) 20 of a first fence panel to an adjacent second post (or pole) 22 of a second fence panel. The present invention provides a fence panel coupler which can be operated by a single person located on one side of the perimeter fencing. The fence panel coupler 10 comprises a first clamping member 12 which is permanently attached to the second clamping member 14 such that the two clamping members 12, 14 cannot be released from each other. The fence panel coupler is therefore a self contained element with no detachable components. The fence panel coupler 10 is preassembled and the first clamping member 12 is inseparable from the second clamping member 14.

RAIL INSERT

A system of fence components includes fence posts, fence rails having cavities formed in their ends, and fence rail inserts sized to be positioned within the fence rail cavities. The fence rail inserts and the fence rail cavities include corresponding mating features to allow the fence rail inserts to be positioned and locked within the fence rail cavities. The fence rail inserts also include fastener guides that allow a fastener to pass through to couple the fence rail inserts to the fence posts.

Fence Erecting Assembly

A fence erecting assembly for anchoring a stretched fence includes a pair of posts that can each be driven into ground. A pair of lower sleeves is each slidable over a respective one of the posts and a pair of tubes is each coupled to a respective one of the lower sleeves. A pair of upper sleeves is each slidable over a respective one of the posts. A pair of support rods is each insertable through a respective one of the tubes such that each of the support rods is oriented to extend diagonally between the posts. A connection point on each of the support rods is attachable to a mounting tab on a respective one of the upper sleeves thereby inhibiting the pair of posts from tipping toward or away from each other. In this way the pair of posts can serve as an anchor point for a stretched fence.
