While such systems and methods can include any suitable component, in some cases, they include a first and a second piece of sauna housing and a sauna heater. In some such cases, the second piece of sauna housing slidingly couples with the first piece to define an interior sauna chamber. Additionally, in some cases, a first portion of the second piece of sauna housing is configured to slidably fit within the first piece such that a volume of the sauna chamber is configured to increase and decrease, respectively, when the second piece is moved into an extended position or when the second piece is moved from the extended position into a collapsed position in which the second piece nests within the first piece. In some cases, the first and second pieces include a ceiling that is configured to extend over a user within the sauna chamber. Other implementations are described.

Prefabricated/Modular Sauna

Disclosed are a prefabricated/modular sauna and methods of manufacturing and assembling a prefabricated/modular sauna. For instance, a prefabricated/modular sauna may include: a base frame; a plurality of posts; a plurality of panels; a roof frame; and a roof panel. The base frame and the roof frame include beams and have beam intersections between adjacent beams, each beam intersection is formed of a lap joint and a connector. The panels are secured in post dados of the posts and beam dados of the beams. The posts are secured in notches of base frame beams and roof frame beams. In some cases, the panels include a pre-packaged sauna assembly panel. In some cases, panels and posts are secured against loading forces, lateral forces, or compression forces by (1) interconnected beams and posts in compression or tension, and (2) mechanical connectors (e.g., pins, bolts, screws).

A sauna cabin enclosure comprised of two half cabins, one half being smaller than the other, such that one half can fit inside the other and can slide to contract or expand partially or fully, thereby increasing or decreasing the air volume inside and the overall external size. This cabin has infrared heating, full spectrum lighting and a steam generator. When the cabin size is reduced by means of a hand crank or a motor, the air volume inside the cabin is decreased, allowing air temperature to increase proportionally. The cabin can be compressed together to minimize required floor space.
