LARGE CONTAINER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A LARGE CONTAINER
20230227247 · 2023-07-20 · ·

Embodiments of a large container may include a container base and a circumferential container wall. An upper end of the wall is closed by a container cover in the form of a metal disc. An annular, circumferential support element is secured at an upper end region of the wall. The disc spans the upper open end of the container wall. A lower side of the disc is welded to the support element and/or to the upper end region of the container wall by a continuous first welding seam. An upper side and/or an edge of the disc is welded to the support element by a continuous second welding seam. The first and second weld seams have respective first and second roots which merge into one another or at least come together.

Seal for Cover on Wastewater Treatment Tank
20220356007 · 2022-11-10 ·

A sealing system for a covered tank, particularly a fixed gas-sealing tank in a wastewater treatment system, includes a thrust ring positioned just inside the tank rim, secured to a series of radial beams for the cover. Preferably supported on corbels anchored to the interior tank wall, the thrust ring has an outwardly extending generally horizontal flange that overlies the edge of the tank rim. To this flange and to the top of the tank rim is secured a flexible membrane seal, around the periphery of the tank. The membrane seal is easily installed, reliable as a seal, and can be efficiently replaced when needed.

Floating roof assembly

A floating roof assembly includes longitudinal girders, and floating members arranged in rows that alternate with the longitudinal girders. Upper and lower press bars are disposed across and fixed to the longitudinal girders. Each of the upper and lower press bars has fastening holes each of which has a first hole portion and a second hole portion. Fastening members connect the upper and lower press bars to the longitudinal girders through the fastening holes. When the fastening members reach the second hole portions of the upper and lower press bars, the longitudinal girders can increase a clamping force thereof to clamp the floating members.

This disclosure may generally relate to a pressured vessel and, more particularly, to systems and methods for pressurizing a pressured vessel by producing a biogas using a recessed roof system. A pressured vessel may comprise a shell, wherein the shell may comprise a plurality of panels. The pressured vessel may further comprise a recessed roof and a deck. A method of collecting biogas from a pressure vessel may comprise disposing a liquid into the pressure vessel, disposing an anaerobic microorganism into the pressure vessel, adjusting a path of the biogas with a protruding baffle, collecting the biogas with the recessed roof, applying pressure to the outside of the recessed roof with the liquid such that the biogas pressure inside the recessed roof is increased, and removing the biogas from inside the recessed roof through a gas collection system.

Batten bar assembly

A batten bar is configured to secure first and second adjacent flat panels to a structural framework. The batten bar includes first and second inside legs, first and second outside legs, and a plurality of apertures disposed along the length of the batten bar. The first and second inside legs define a central channel. The first outside leg and the first inside leg define a first seal recess configured to receive and retain a first seal. The second outside leg and the second inside leg define a second seal recess configured to receive and retain a second seal. In an installed configuration, the first inside leg and the first outside leg are configured to contact the first flat panel along a first common plane, and the second inside leg and second outside leg contact the second panel along a second common plane.

Systems and methods for lifting and positioning a roof for installation on a storage tank

A system includes a plurality of lifts configured to couple to a storage tank about the storage tank, a reservoir to store compressed air, and a manifold. Each lift includes a hoist, a coupling to extend between the hoist and a roof of the storage tank, an inlet conduit to be coupled to an inlet of the hoist, and an outlet conduit to be coupled to an outlet of the hoist. A pressure difference between the inlet of the hoist and the outlet of the hoist spools the hoist. The manifold fluidly couples the reservoir to each inlet conduit and fluidly couples each outlet conduit to an exhaust. The manifold includes a plurality of outlet valves, each coupled to one outlet conduit of the plurality of outlet conduits and configured to regulate flow between the outlets of the plurality of hoists and the exhaust.
