A lock assembly comprising a throw bolt, a bolt holder and a bolt keeper. The bolt comprises a cutting barrier and a bolt casing, the bolt casing being more corrosion-resistant than the cutting barrier, and the cutting barrier being more abrasion-resistant that the bolt casing. When assembled, the cutting barrier will be enclosed within the bolt casing.

A device for unlocking a door lock associated with a door handle mounted in order to slide in an aperture in the door between an inoperative position wherein the handle is flush with the door and an operative position wherein the handle projects from the door includes a cylinder supported by a holder directly or indirectly attached to the door. The cylinder is connected to an element for unlocking the lock via a part for moving the lock unlocking element, and the cylinder is mounted in the part in order to extend towards the handle at an angle to a direction normal to the door. A lock with an extended bolt throw comprising a back plate, a locking bolt having a rack gear profile on at least a portion of one side, slidably mounted to the back plate movable between a first position and a second position. An accelerator gear mounted to the back plate movable along an arcuate path between a first and second position. The accelerator gear comprising a curved edge having teeth which engage the rack gear profile of the locking bolt, and an opposing edge having a centrally located notch for engagement of a cam of a lock cylinder. Wherein as the cam rotates about the lock cylinder it engages the notch and urges the accelerator gear from the first position to the second position, which urges the locking bolt from the first position to the second position.

A lock cylinder assembly includes a housing, a first cylinder disposed within a first bore formed in the housing, and a second cylinder disposed within a second bore formed in the housing, in which at least one of the first and second cylinders is an electronic cylinder. The lock cylinder assembly further includes first and second cams, in which each of the first and second cams are configured to actuate a door lock mechanism. The first cam is directly connected to the second cylinder so as to be rotatable with the second cylinder. The second cylinder and the second cam are rotatable with respect to each other so that the second cam does not rotate with the second cylinder. A lock including: a retractable knob; and a knob release mechanism for retaining the retractable knob in a retracted position, the knob release mechanism retains the retractable knob in the retracted position until a motor of the knob release mechanism is actuated by an input provided to a keypad located on a surface of the lock.

A cylinder lock (100) comprising first and second housing sides (104, 106), an actuator (120) which is positioned in a space (116) between the first and second housing sides (104, 106), and a connecting portion (200) which extends completely across the space (116) and connects the first and second housing sides (104, 106), and wherein the actuator (120) is rotatable about the connecting portion (200) in order to cause operation of locking means. An outside-door-handle system is configured to be attached to a door of a passenger motor vehicle. The outside-door-handle system includes a holder, a lock cylinder, and a Bowden cable. The holder is configured to be fastened to the door. The lock cylinder is operatively connected to the holder. The Bowden cable has a core, and is operatively connected at one end thereof to the lock cylinder and at the other end thereof to a door lock situated in the door. At a portion that is adjacent to the lock cylinder, the core of the Bowden cable is operatively connected to a toothed rack which is operatively connected to the lock cylinder.
