A locking device for locking a first component to a second component having a catch element for fastening to the first or second component, the catch element comprising a first latching recess; having a latching unit for fastening to the second or first component; the latching unit comprising a first latching body for engagement with the at least one latching recess of the catch element; the latching unit comprising a release element, which comprises a first receiving opening for receiving the first latching body; and the release element can be moved between a rest position, which arranges the first latching body in the first latching recess of the catch element and in the receiving opening of the release element, and a release position, which releases the engagement between the first latching body and the first latching recess of the catch element.

Keyless Insertion Locking System and Method

The present invention, in a non-limiting example embodiment provides a locking apparatus and method for securing locking hardware without the use of a key. In an example embodiment, the apparatus comprises at least a keyless insertion rotatable disk-style, barrel locking apparatus that, in a locked state can be inserted into a securing device without first unlocking, and then, thereafter, locking after insertion. In a nonlimiting example embodiment, unlocking and re-locking requires a key. The present invention, in an example embodiment, also provides features that allow the locking apparatus to enter and exit multiple apertures without requiring a key.

Locking Device with a Guard Lock for Safety Doors

A locking device having a guard lock for safety doors includes a mechanical actuator which can be fastened on a movable door part and a housing which interacts with the actuator and can be fastened to a door counterpart. The housing includes a receptor to which the actuator can be inserted, and the housing comprises a locking element which is displaceable between an unlocked position, in which the actuator can be released, and a locked position, in which the actuator can be fixed relative to the receptor. The actuator comprises an engagement tongue having an engagement recess for mechanical operative engagement with a head end of a locking element in form of an engagement plunger, the engagement plunger being guided in the housing so as to be longitudinally displaceable in a spring-biased manner in the in a plunger longitudinal direction relative to an inner fixed bearing.

Electric latch mechanism

An exemplary latchbolt assembly includes a latchbolt, a locking sleeve, and a roller engaged between the latchbolt and the locking sleeve. The latchbolt is configured to drive the roller from a first position to a second position as the latchbolt moves from a projected position to a depressed position. The locking sleeve includes a blocking surface and a recessed portion. When the blocking surface is aligned with the roller, the locking sleeve retains the roller in the first position, thereby retaining the latchbolt in the projected position. When the recessed portion is aligned with the roller, the locking sleeve permits movement of the roller from the first position to the second position, thereby enabling depression of the latchbolt.

Latches are disclosed. One latch includes a housing, a cap, a bushing, and a ball. The housing is configured for engagement to the panel. The housing has a longitudinal axis and defines an aperture along the longitudinal axis. The aperture includes a cutout area. The cap and the bushing are mounted within the aperture for rotation about the longitudinal axis. The cap comprises an outer surface including a drive projection and a cutout area. The bushing comprises an upper surface and a sidewall positioned between the cap and the housing. The sidewall defines a drive surface positioned to contact the drive projection of the cap and an opening. The ball is positioned within the opening of the bushing. The ball is configured to be positioned at least partially within the cutout area of the housing or the cutout area of the cap.

POSITION INDICATOR FOR BALL LOCK

A ball lock includes a body having a shaft with at least one retention feature disposed at a distal portion of the shaft. The body of the ball lock may also define a central chamber and an access slot open to the central chamber. The ball lock may include a spindle disposed within the central chamber of the body. The spindle may be in either a locked position or an unlocked position. The ball lock may further include an indicator coupled to the spindle and viewable to a user via the access slot, wherein the indicator is configured to indicate to the user whether the spindle is in the locked position or the unlocked position.
