Integrated zipper lock
A zipper lock has two locking members to secure two zipper pulls of a suitcase and a control plate to cause the locking member to disengage from the zipper pulls. The lock has a latch engaged with the control plate, the latch positionable in a first latch position when the lock is in a locked mode or in a second latch position to open the lock. The lock has a combination mechanism using dials and clutches to control the movement of a spindle which allows the latch to move the second latch position when the arrangement of the dials matches the correct combination code. The lock also has a key-overriding mechanism using a cylinder to cause the movement of the latch when a correct key is used to turn the cylinder to open the lock. A recovery mechanism allows a user to recover the lost combination code.
Lock pin rotational position setting key and method of use
A pin setting key for setting rotational orientations of pins of a lock. The key includes a bow portion and a blade portion for inserting into a keyway. The blade portion has a longitudinal axis and a bow end and a tip end, with a plurality of bitting positions located between the bow and tip ends. Each of the bitting positions corresponds to one of the pins of the plug such that insertion of the blade portion into the keyway aligns the bitting position with one of the pins. Each bitting position includes at least one bitting surface configured to rotate a pin when the contact surface of the pin contacts the bitting surface. Each bitting surface is offset from a central location of the respective bitting position. Each bitting surface has an axis extending generally transverse to the longitudinal axis of the blade.

Constructing physical keys by way of digital keys
A digital key management system for physical keys is provided. A processor registers a physical lock. A processor generates a digital key based on a physical key structure to be used with the physical lock. A processor configures the physical lock to decode an inserted physical key. A processor verifies the inserted physical key, in response to a digital key for the decoded physical key matching the generated digital key.
APPARATUS AND METHOD TO VISUALLY DECIPHER A KEYED LOCK CYLINDER
An apparatus and method for digital decoding and deciphering a lock cylinder pin configuration, such as for a Kwikset or a Smart Key lock is disclosed. The digital decoder includes a light source placed inside of the keyhole that eliminates glare from the face of the lock and improves the decoding process. A digital camera is configured to provide an optical view of an interior of the lock cylinder to detect the pin settings for each of a plurality of lock tumbler pins carried by the lock cylinder. The digital camera is configured to provide a live feed displayed on a video screen or recorded for later analysis.
Container door opening system
A container door opening system for assisting in the opening and closing of rusted tight or stuck hinges on intermodal container doors. The container door opening system generally includes an elongated member having a movably first engaging member and a fixed second engaging member. The first engaging member is movable both towards and away from the second engaging member so as to adjust the effective distance between the engaging members. A bias member is connected to the first engaging member so as to bias the first engaging member away from the second engaging member. The first engaging member may be engaged with a first anchor point on a container door and the second engaging member may be engaged with a second anchor point on the container door. The elongated member may then be pivoted away from the door to open it or towards the door to close it.
Method and system for opening locks
The invention relates to a method for opening locks, designed for use in a lock equipped with a cylinder, rotor, and inlet channel for an opening key, comprising the following steps: a. Positioning and pre-insertion into the inlet channel of a tool having a geometry which is compatible with the opening key, and said positioning being up to only one region of said tool corresponding to the tip thereof, and in a manner initially similar to inserting the same opening key into said inlet channel.
b. Pressing by means of an impingement gun on the same tool in the inlet channel, after the positioning thereof.
c. Penetration of said tool in the inlet channel as a consequence of the previous pressing, and interlocking in the inlet channel, occupying a space similar to the corresponding opening key.
d. Breaking the cylinder and/or rotor as a consequence of the previous penetration and interlocking.
e. Opening of the lock.
