Locking mechanism including energy storage
Certain aspects of the technology disclosed herein include an apparatus and method for storing energy in a electromechanical lock. The electromechanical lock can include a main housing and a deadbolt. The main housing can be configured to extend a deadbolt along a path to lock and/or unlock a door. The deadbolt can have a hollow inner region configured to receive an energy storage device. The energy storage device within the deadbolt can be electrically connected to the main housing. The energy storage device can be used to power an actuator and/or accelerometer in the main housing.
Latch assembly
A latch assembly comprising an elongated flat latch slider slidable along a first axis between a first position and a second position in relation to a main latch, wherein the latch slider is provided with a protruding lug; a lock arrangement comprising; a body moving between a locking position and an unlocking position, wherein in the locking position a portion of the body is preventing movement of the lug along a path in parallel with said first axis, and in the unlocking position the lug can be moved along said first axis; and an electrically powered device connected to the body for moving the body between the locking position and the unlocking position.
EXIT DEVICE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
An exit device according to one embodiment includes a plurality of sensors and an electronic dogging mechanism. The exit device is configured to locally analyze sensor data to determine the security state of the exit device, report data to a management system via a wireless communication channel established between the exit device and the management system, and receive and process instructions to perform an electronic dogging operation.
Door lock bolt plate pivot system, and associated structures and methods
Disclosed are embodiments of a tapered bolt receiver for a door lock to accommodate misalignment, between a deadbolt mounted to a door, and an opposing jamb. The tapered bolt receiver can be configured to accommodate misalignment for a deadbolt having a non-tapered bolt, such as for an electromechanical smart lock having a battery stored within a battery compartment that is integrated with an enhanced bolt. Also disclosed are embodiments of a deadbolt plate pivot assembly that is pivotably mountable to a corresponding deadbolt assembly to define a plate pivot system, to accommodate a beveled door edge. An illustrative embodiment of the deadbolt plate pivot assembly includes opposing plate that captures a hinge assembly, which can include plastic plate hinges, which serve to locate the deadbolt plate pivot assembly with respect to a corresponding bolt housing, and can provide a spring force and/or constant torque when mounted to a beveled door.
Attempted entry detection
Methods, systems, and apparatus for attempted entry detection are disclosed. A method for monitoring a property includes receiving, from a smart lock of a door located at a property monitored by a monitoring system, smart lock data that reflects a condition of the smart lock; receiving, from a sensor of the monitoring system, sensor data; analyzing the smart lock data and the sensor data; based on analyzing the smart lock data and the sensor data, determining that an attempted door entry is occurring; and in response to determining that an attempted door entry is occurring, performing a monitoring system action. Determining that an attempted door entry is occurring can include determining, based on the sensor data, that a person is located near the smart lock; and determining, based on analyzing the smart lock data, that the smart lock data satisfies criteria for an attempted door entry.
Door lock sensor and alarm
A door lock mechanism is disclosed that includes door lock and alarm features. The mechanism includes a controller and a sensor useful to detect motions that are representative of attempted access through a door to which the door lock mechanism is attached. The controller can set an alarm condition if a measured motion, such as a measured acceleration, meet and/or exceeds a threshold. If an appropriate access control credential is provided through a user device then the alarm condition may not be set by the controller. The door lock mechanism can be coupled to a remote station via a communications link if needed, such as a radio frequency link. The remote station can additionally be in communication with the door lock mechanism via a network. The remote station can be used to send and receive messages regarding door lock mechanism status, configuration, etc.
A DOOR OPERATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A door operation management system (100), method and computer program product for controlling operation of a door (1), the door operation management system (100) comprises at least a first movement sensor device (10a, 10b, 10c) arranged at the door (1), for determining a movement of the door (1); and a processing circuitry (102a, 102b) operatively connected to the at least first movement sensor device (10a, 10b, 10c) configured to cause the door operation management system (100) to obtain at least a first sensor data (dd1, dd2, dd3, dd4) from the at least first movement sensor device (10a, 10b, 10c); and determine at least a first state (st1, st2, st3, st4) of the door (1) based on the at least a first sensor data (dd1, dd2, dd3, dd4).
CASEMENT WINDOW HANDLE SENSOR
A sensor system to reliably alert and inform a user of the status of a window, in particular, a sensor system which reliably informs the user if the window is both in a closed position and also that the locking mechanism is in the locked configuration. There are thereby provided two independent sensor systems within the casement window handle assembly which are arranged to verify that the window handle is in the locked configuration and also that the window sash is in the closed position relative to the window frame. The casement window handle assembly comprises a first sensor for indicating the position of the window handle and this comprises a first sensor component mounted to the pivotal/movable handle and a second component fixed within the mounting base.
LOCKING APPARATUSES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS OF PROVIDING ACCESS CONTROL
Apparatuses, systems, and methods are provided for detecting an alert status of a locking apparatus for an entry point. An external force may be received at a locking apparatus operating in a locked state and determining a first indicia corresponding to the received external force, separately receiving an indication of the external force at an accelerometer of the locking apparatus and determining a second indicia corresponding to the received indication of the external force, comparing the first indicia and the second indicia to determine an alert condition, and selectively performing at least one alert operation corresponding to the determined alert condition.
