Actuator comprising electro permanent magnet and method
Actuator (10) comprising a base section (14,14a,14b); a permanent magnet (18,18a,18b); an electro permanent magnet (20, 20a, 20b); a coil (22, 22a, 22b) located around the electro permanent magnet (20, 20a, 20b); a power controller (24, 24a, 24b); and a movable member (28) comprising at least one magnetic target section (36), the movable member (28) being arranged to move to a first position (12) relative to the base section (14,14a,14b), when the electro permanent magnet (20, 20a, 20b) adopts a first polarity, and arranged to move to a second position (46) relative to the base section (14,14a,14b) due to a magnetic field generated by the permanent magnet (18,18a,18b) and the electro permanent magnet (20, 20a, 20b) in combination and acting on the magnetic target section (36), when the electro permanent magnet (20, 20a, 20b) adopts a second polarity. A lock device (50), a handle device (86) and a method are also provided.
ELECTRONIC LOCK AND RELATIVE OPERATION METHOD
A programmable electronic lock (1) comprising at least one electronic key (10) engageable in an electronic lock (1) and configured to allow the opening and/or closing of a shutter (100) by means of too a security code; a containment body (20) which can be mounted on the shutter (100); a block (30), which includes reversible locking/unlocking means (32) able to be electrically actuated and configured to determine a clamping condition or a disengagement condition. The electronic lock (1) comprises reversible locking/unlocking means (32) having a shaped element (32a) rotatable so as to determine, in a first position, a mechanical interference between the block (30) and the containment body (20), so as to prevent a relative movement therebetween, and, in a second position, a condition of no mechanical interference between the block (30) and the containment body (20), so as to allow a relative movement between said block (30) and the containment body (20).
Tamper resistant locking device
A tamper resistant lock. A lock has a lock housing with housing indentation. A cylinder is rotatably housed within the housing. A locking pin is connected to the cylinder and is inserted into the housing indentation when the lock is in a locked position and the locking pin is clear of the housing indentation when the lock is in an unlocked position. An anti-tampering mechanism is positioned between the housing and the cylinder. The anti-tampering mechanism receives a user's key and also includes a relative motion hole. A key extension portion is rotatably inserted inside the anti-tampering mechanism body and includes a relative motion indentation. The key extension portion is keyed to the cylinder. A lock ball is inserted into the relative motion hole and the relative motion indention, thereby preventing relative motion between the anti-tampering mechanism body and the key extension portion. A flexible band is wrapped around the anti-tampering mechanism body and covers the lock ball and holds the lock ball in place in the relative motion hole and relative motion indentation. The flexibility of the flexible band is sufficient to permit the lock ball to leave the relative motion indentation while simultaneously retaining the lock ball in the relative motion hole if the anti-tampering mechanism body is rotated while the locking pin is inserted into the housing indentation, thereby permitting relative motion between the anti-tampering mechanism body and the key extension portion. In a preferred embodiment the tamper resistant lock is a padlock.
