LEVER ACTION AUTOMATIC SHOOTBOLT OPERATOR WITH MAGNETICALLY-TRIGGERED LOCKING MECHANISM
A magnetically-triggered lock mechanism for interengaging two relatively movable components. The lock mechanism includes a bolt mounted within a first component composed of a first material and displaceable between retracted and extended positions to interengage with a second component when the first and second components are in a predetermined position relative to each other and the bolt is extended, and a magnetically-releasable latch mechanism positioned to latch the bolt in a retracted position, the latch mechanism including a first magnet and mounted for movement between a biased latch engaging position and a latch releasing position. A support collar composed of a second material having higher strength than that of the first material is disposed around the bolt between an inner casing and outer casing of the first component and is spaced from the bolt to allow for sliding movement of the bolt through the support collar as the bolt moves between the extended and retracted positions. The support collar absorbs and distributes to the inner and/or outer casing a load generated from the bolt as the bolt moves to the extended position through the support collar. A second magnet is positioned to displace the latch mechanism to the latch releasing position when the first component is in the predetermined position relative to the second component.
Automatic locking-deadbolt assembly in a door
A lock assembly for a door includes a lock body having a housing with at least one deadbolt supported in the housing for movement between a retracted position and an extended position and biased toward the extended position by a spring, and a trigger mechanism mounted on the door separate from the lock body for engagement with a door jamb upon closure of the door, said trigger mechanism being adapted to hold the at least one deadbolt in the retracted position when the door is open in opposition to a spring bias, and to permit movement of the at least one deadbolt to the extended position upon engagement of the trigger mechanism with the door jamb.

Panel door lockout
A lockout device is able to secure a door on a panel. The lockout device includes a housing and a flexible line. The housing has a first mounting portion adapted for securement to one side of the panel and the flexible line has on one end thereof a second mounting portion adapted for securement to another side of the panel from the first mounting portion. The housing further supports at least one line engagement element and the flexible line extends through at least a portion of the housing including the at least one line engagement element for selective engagement therewith. In use, the mounting portions may be affixed or attached to opposing sides or edges of the panel, the flexible line drawn taut, and the line engagement element(s) of the housing used to engage the flexible line to hold it in positon with respect to the housing.

Narrow backset auto-latching mortise lock for sliding door
Narrow backset auto-latching mortise lock for sliding door is a mortise lock that is fully contained within a 1.5 inch wide casing or housing that includes actuated automatic latching and automatic unlatching mechanism. Narrow backset auto-latching mortise lock for sliding door is a mortise lock that properly fits a narrow backset sliding door with a backset dimension of 1.25 inches. The design of narrow backset auto-latching mortise lock for sliding door has been elongated so that the latch or bolt is moved downwards and positioned below the lever hub. The positioning of the latch or bolt at a location below the lever hub requires special linkage and mechanical components in order to make the mortise lock function properly. This design required all new lock components, including a new latch lever with a dual hub arm, a dual latch arm, and a dual latch arm pin.
Door lock
A door lock for a top loading electrical appliance is provided that includes a latch head for locking a door of the top loading electrical appliance and a limiting mechanism for limiting rotation of the latch head before the door of the top loading electrical appliance reaches a closed position. The latch head is rotatable about an axis and has a latch head unlock position and a latch head lock position. The latch head may rotate between the latch head unlock position and the latch head lock position and the limiting mechanism may be arranged for limiting the latch head from rotating from the latch head unlock position to the latch lead lock position before the door of the top loading electrical appliance reaches a closed position.
