Lock device for a waste receiving device and waste receiving device with such a lock device
A lock device for a waste receiving device, and a waste receiving device having such a lock device, where the lock device includes an upper lock part to be fastened on a cover of the waste receiving device and a lower lock part to be fastened on a container of the waste receiving device. The upper lock part has an upper lock part housing, a locking mechanism and a first locking element. The lower lock part has a lower lock part housing and a second locking element. The second locking element is pivotable about a swivel axis between a blocking position and a release position, whereby in the blocking position the second locking element cooperates with the first locking element in such a way that the cover is blocked.
Locking apparatus for a refuse container lid
A locking apparatus for use in securing a pivotably mounted lid of a refuse container includes a clamp assembly rotatably mounted to the container's handle and having a fork member, an arm coupled to the clamp assembly and in contact with the lid, a ring slidably mounted to the arm and clamp assembly, a mounting bracket coupled to the container's handle and connected to the clamp assembly by at least one spring, the mounting bracket having a base plate and an upper portion of the mounting bracket having at least one bumper, a rod fastener coupled to the base plate and fork member, and a rod member slidably mounted to the rod fastener. The rod member adjusts to permit the clamp assembly and arm to rotate such that the bumper releases the ring from the arm and clamp assembly upon contact, thereby enabling the container's lid to open.
LOCKING DEVICE FOR CONTAINER
The present invention generally relates to locking devices for waste containers, particularly residential or commercial waste containers. The present invention also relates to a waste container having a locking device which keeps the container closed when a sudden jerking or jarring, such as ground impact, is applied on the container, but allows the container to be opened during the dumping or tipping process. The locking device contains an impact detecting paddle or rolling member to provide a mechanical impact sensor that can detect whether the container has been unintendedly tipped over in the forward direction or whether it is being tipped over, such as for dumping.
Gravity-actuated latch mechanism
A gravity-actuated latch mechanism is provided. The gravity-actuated latch mechanism may include a strike attached to a lid of a container and a latch body attached to an inside wall of the container. The latch body includes a housing and a catch accessible from outside of the housing, wherein the catch engages and disengages with the strike. The latch body includes a lever having a lever arm moveable between an engaged and disengaged position. The engaged position is engaged with the catch and the disengaged position is disengaged with the catch. The latch body also includes a latch actuation ball housed in an elongated passage within the housing. The lever arm of the lever extends into the elongate passage, allowing the latch actuation ball to apply force to the lever arm to move the lever from the engaged to the disengaged position in response to tipping the container for dumping.
Collection bin locking assembly with gravity operated release mechanism
A collection bin locking assembly with a gravity-actuated release mechanism is disclosed herein. The locking assembly includes a housing attached to the body of the bin and a separate cord support structure attached to the lid. When locked, a cord spans between a first cord support structure on the housing and the separate or second cord support structure on the lid. A pendulum is disposed within the housing which, due to gravity, automatically swings between a first, resting position and a second, unlocked positioned when the collection bin is moved from an upright position to an at least partially upended position. Furthermore, the first cord support structure includes a groove and, adjacent to the groove, a smooth, outwardly curved surface. When the pendulum swings, the cord is forced out of the groove and onto the adjacent smooth, outwardly curved surface where the cord will slip off, thereby unlocking the lid.
Gravity-actuated latch mechanism
A gravity-actuated latch mechanism is provided. The gravity-actuated latch mechanism may include a strike attached to a lid of a container and a latch body attached to a wall of the container. The latch body also includes a latch actuation member such as a ball housed in an elongated passage within the housing. The lever arm of the lever extends into the elongate passage, allowing the latch actuation member to apply force to the lever arm to move the lever from the engaged to the disengaged position in response to tipping the container for dumping.
TAMPER RESISTANT GRAVITY LATCH
A hasp assembly (200), having: a hasp (302) that engages a staple (404); an actuator (320) that retains the hasp in an engaged position; a first passage (410) and a first element (802) therewithin; and a second passage (412) and a second element (418) therewithin. A linear length of the second passage (L2) is greater than a linear length (L1) of the first passage. When in a tilted orientation (800) the first element is urged by gravity along the first passage and impact of the first element on the actuator releases the hasp, and the second element is urged by gravity along the second passage toward a terminal position (712) where the second element blocks the first element.
LOCKING DEVICE AND METHOD
The present invention generally relates to waste containers and, more particularly, relates to a locking device for waste containers. The locking device is gravity actuated to an opened position on tilting of the container for dumping. The locking device allows the lid of the container, when the container is in an upright position, to be locked to prevent unauthorized access to the container. When the container is tilted from the upright position, e.g. to empty the contents of the container, the locking device is gravity actuated to allow the lid to open.
FURNITURE HAVING A CONCEALED LOCKABLE COMPARTMENT
Furniture with a concealed compartment is provided. The furniture includes a tabletop and a base. Tracks on sides of the base mate with interior channels of the tabletop to enable the tabletop to be slid to reveal or conceal the compartment. The compartment may include a locking mechanism that prevents access to the compartment. The locking mechanism can be unlocked using a magnet.
LOCK DEVICE FOR A WASTE RECEIVING DEVICE AND WASTE RECEIVING DEVICE WITH SUCH A LOCK DEVICE
Disclosed is a lock device for a waste receiving device including a container and a cover held on the container and a waste receiving device having such a lock device. The lock device includes an upper lock part to be fastened on the cover side and a lower lock part to be fastened on the container side. The upper lock part has an upper lock part housing, a locking mechanism and a first locking element. The lower lock part has a lower lock part housing and a second locking element. The second locking element is pivotable about a swivel axis between a blocking position and a release position. In its blocking position, the second locking element cooperates with the first locking element in such a way that the cover is blocked.
