Vehicle interior component
A vehicle interior component configured to be actuated by an inertia force is disclosed. The component may comprise a cover moveable relative to a base between closed and open positions and a latch mechanism to provide a latched state for the cover when actuated by the inertia force and to hold the cover in an unlatched state. The latch mechanism may be configured to change state of the cover from the unlatched state to the latched state when actuated by the inertia force. The cover may comprise the latch mechanism. The latch mechanism may extend from the cover in the latched state. The latch mechanism may form a generally continuous surface with a wall of the cover when unlatched. The latch mechanism may comprise a spring to hold the cover in the unlatched state. The component may comprise at least one of a console; center console; floor console; an armrest.
MULTI-LINK KNOB TYPE ARMREST AND ARMREST CONSOLE AND VEHICLE USING THE SAME
An armrest may include an armrest module, a sliding knob to be rotated by a manipulating force provided thereon, a hook knob facilitating rotation of the sliding knob to be converted into rotation for releasing console locking force for binding the armrest module, and a multi-link at which sloping angle rotation is generated by the rotation of the sliding knob and then converted into rotation for releasing slide locking force for binding sliding movement of the armrest module.

Double-doored lid apparatus
A double-doored lid apparatus includes: a box body; first and second doors; an opening/closing mechanism that opens and closes the first and second doors in conjunction with each other; a locking mechanism that locks the first and second doors in their closed states; an urging member that urges the first and second doors in an opening direction while the doors are locked by the locking mechanism; and a support member that transmits the urging force from the urging member to the first and second doors. The support member includes: a first support portion that supports one end portion of the urging member; and second and third support portions that start to come into contact with the first and second doors, respectively, before the doors reach a predetermined locking position during closing motions thereof, and that support the first and second doors when the doors are locked by the locking mechanism.

Latch assembly
A latch assembly for a vehicle, in applications such as an armrest console or a glove box, includes a shape memory alloy (SMA) actuator. The SMA actuator includes an actuator housing, an SMA wire, and an actuator lever arm. The actuator lever arm is configured to pivotably rotate or linearly translate with respect to the actuator housing upon activation of the SMA wire. A connecting link is coupled to the actuator lever arm. The connecting link is configured to translate linearly along a connecting link axis when the actuator lever arm pivotably rotates or linearly translates. A striker is coupled to the connecting link and configured to rotate about a striker axis to engage a closing surface.

CONSOLE APPARATUS FOR VEHICLES
A console apparatus for vehicles, includes a locking unit is additionally provided on a console box in a structure in which a console armrest is open and closed by the frictional force of a frictional hinge unit, wherein the locking unit is not operated in a normal state in which no traffic collision occurs, and thus the console armrest is smoothly open due to the frictional force of the frictional hinge unit, and the locking unit is operated to lock the console armrest at the time of a traffic collision, and thus the console armrest remains closed even at the time of the traffic collision.

COVER ASSEMBLY AND STORAGE COMPARTMENT THEREFOR
The invention relates among other things to a cover assembly (10) with a first cover part (13) and a second cover part (14), where each cover part (13, 14) is movable relative to a base about a separate pivot axis between a closed position and an open position and is biased by a spring (16a, 16b) into the open position, where one leg (18) of the spring (16a, 16b) is supported on the base and one leg (17) loads the cover part (13, 14), and can be held in the closed position by a latch that is adjustable between a latching position and a release position, where the spring tension is adjustable by an adjuster (20).
The special feature consists in that the adjuster (20) comprises a support (21a, 21b) for a leg (18) of the spring (16a, 16b), which part is supported movably and has at least one locking formation that can be brought detachably into engagement in different relative positions with counterlocking formation (27) fixed on the base, where the support (21a, 21b) has support formation on which the one leg (18) of the spring (16a, 16b) is supportable.
