20230203858 · 2023-06-29 ·

The invention relates to a device (200) for locking a door, which comprises: a bolt (40) comprising a bar (52) configured to engage in a housing secured to the frame (80) accommodating the door and a pusher means secured to the bar (41) and spaced apart from the bar by a stem and in which the bolt is positioned on the door at a height relative to the foot of the door of between thirty and eighty centimetres, such that the bar of the bolt can be engaged with or disengaged from the housing secured to the frame by pressure applied by a user's knee against the pusher means.

LOCKING DEVICE FOR WINDOW OR DOOR AND METHOD OF OPERATING THEREOF
20220042357 · 2022-02-10 · ·

A locking device for a window or a door, wherein the window or the door has a sash slidable in a horizontal direction within a frame. When a user turns on a switch to control a block to move from the first position to the second position, the block protrudes out of a vertical surface of the sash, thereby driving a linkage member to disengage from the frame. At this time, the user could hold and push the block in the horizontal direction to move the sash between a third position and a fourth position. When the sash is pushed back to the third position, the block could be controlled to move back to the first position, namely back to a mounting groove, thereby moving the linkage member to a position where the linkage member is engaged with the frame. A method of operating thereof is provided as well.

Magnetic latch for fastening a hinged closure member to a support

A magnetic latch for fastening a closure member to a support. The magnetic latch comprises a latch bolt assembly comprising: a first elongated housing configured to be mounted with its rear side facing either the closure member or the support; a second housing connected to and positioned underneath the first housing, the second housing being rotatable with respect to the first housing around the vertical direction between a first rotational position in which the latch bolt assembly is operable for a right-handed closure member and a second rotational position in which the latch bolt assembly is operable for a left-handed closure member; and a latch bolt mounted in the second housing. The different rotational positions of the second housing allow using a horizontally moveable latch bolt while retaining a symmetrical placement on the closure system irrespective of the handedness of the closure member.

A magnetic latch for fastening a closure member to a support. The magnetic latch comprises a keeper assembly including a magnet and a latch bolt assembly having: an elongated frame (32); a latch bolt (14) moveable between a latching position and a retracted position; a latch bolt biasing member urging the latch bolt into its retracted position; and a latch bolt operating mechanism configured to move the latch bolt from its latching position to its retracted position against a magnetic attraction. The latch bolt operating mechanism comprises: an effort link rod (37); a load link rod (34); and a second-order lever (35) interposed between the effort link rod and the load link rod. The second-order lever reduces the force required to operate the latch bolt operating mechanism thus allowing for an increased magnetic attraction of the latch bolt towards the magnet in the keeper assembly.

Locking device for the opening of a door including two opposite members apt to be mounted to a door and to a post, respectively, and provided with housing holes of screws for the engagement with a surface, one of the bodies including a solid body except for a cavity provided on one of the side walls, the other one of the bodies including an outside shell internally provided with a housing cavity of a sliding body, characterised in that a lock block for the movement of the sliding body is furthermore provided, housed within a cavity provided on the top surface of the outer shell as well as dampening and thrust structure of the sliding body.

Oblique slide latch apparatus

The present oblique slide latch apparatus includes a housing, lever, and latch. A straight channel is positioned obliquely on the latch and is oblique relative to an axis along which the latch slides. The lever includes first and second pegs that capture inner and outer portions of a latch head to minimize wobble of the latch. The latch head is positioned within opposite sides of the lever.

DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY

A latch feature for a door is disclosed herein. The latch feature includes an input body that is operable to move linearly between first and second positions relative to the door. The latch feature also includes an output body. The output body is coupled to the input body by a pivot member that is configured to pivot relative to the output body and the input body to allow the output body to move linearly toward the input body from an outboard position to an inboard position as the input body moves from the first position to the second position.
