HINGE ASSEMBLY FOR A SECURITY DOOR
A security door assembly is disclosed including a hinge assembly having a first hinge plate having at least a first hinge pin receptacle extending from the first hinge plate, and a second hinge plate having at least a second hinge pin receptacle extending from the second hinge plate. A hinge pin is removably received in a longitudinal direction within the first and second hinge pin receptacles such that the first and second hinge plates are pivotal with respect to one another via the hinge pin. The hinge assembly includes a bearing assembly disposed between the hinge pin and one of the first or second hinge pin receptacles, and a retention member removably extending in a first lateral direction into one of the first or second hinge pin receptacles and engaging the hinge pin.
Adjustable Hinge and Method Adjustment
The present invention relates to the field of hinges and carriage mechanisms, such as a hinge and carriage mechanism adapted to hang a door, gate, panel, window or the like. The present invention is suitable for use with a means of providing height adjustment for a door and can reduce undesirable tampering and improve the security of the hinges and door assemblies by controlling the orientation of specific part of a hinge to limit access to the fastener.
CONCEALED EXTERNAL HINGE WITH 180 DEGREE ROTATION
An external hinge is provided for pivotally connecting a door to a sidewall while obtaining at least 180 degrees of opening movement or degree of rotation. The external hinge is substantially concealed behind the sidewall and the door in a fully closed position of the door. In one embodiment, the external hinge comprises a first curved arm extending between a first pivot pin of a first part mounted on an interior surface of the sidewall and a second pivot pin of a second part mounted on an interior surface of the door. The external hinge further comprises a second curved arm extending between a third pivot pin of the first part mounted on the interior surface of the sidewall and a fourth pivot pin of the second part mounted on the interior surface of the door.
PROCESS FOR SECURING A DOOR TO AN OPENING
A process of securing a door to an opening, using a hinge, comprising at least one adjustable screw which can move to change the door's fit into a frame, securing the adjusted door while the door is open, using at least one irremovable screw on the hinge, such that the screw cannot be removed while the door is closed.
Security door hinge assembly
A security door hinge assembly is provided, comprising a door frame structure, having at least a head member, a first jamb member and a second jamb member, and at least one door leaf. The door leaf further comprises a leaf frame structure, having at least a top rail member, a bottom rail member, a hinge stile member and a lock stile member; an inner leaf panel, mounted to a first side of said leaf frame structure and extending past said hinge stile member, so as to form an inner leaf flange; an outer leaf panel, mounted to a second side of said leaf frame structure, opposite said first side, and extending past said hinge stile member, so as to form an outer leaf flange, and wherein, in use, said door leaf is operable between a first closed position and a second open position. The security door hinge assembly further comprises a hinge chamber positioned between said first jamb member and said hinge stile; a hinge-mount bracket, coupled to said first jamb member; a hinge mechanism, having at least one pivot axis and which is located within said open hinge chamber and adapted to pivotally mount said door leaf to said hinge-mount bracket, and wherein, in said first closed position, said inner leaf flange is in an exteriorly overlapping engagement with at least a portion of said hinge mount bracket, so as to prevent access to said hinge mechanism.
Door reinforcement apparatus
An apparatus that can be installed on an existing door to provide improved security. The apparatus has first and second door brackets that are installed on the interior and exterior surfaces of the door, respectively, and together increase the strength of the door in the region near the door handle and/or deadbolt. The apparatus also has a door frame bar that is installed on the door frame opposing a vertical outside edge of the door and one or more door hinge bars that are mounted on the interior surface of the door near one or more door hinges. The apparatus can optionally have a reinforcing bar.
AIRCRAFT HINGE APPARATUS AND RELATED METHODS FOR THE SAME
A hinge apparatus can include a frame component of an aircraft interior component; a door component coupled to an aircraft door assembly; and a hinge assembly coupled to the frame component and the door component. The hinge assembly can be operable between an open configuration, an intermediate configuration, and a closed configuration. The hinge assembly may include a first hinge body, and a second hinge body coupled to the door component, the second hinge body pivotably moving the door component about a first pivot point when the hinge assembly moves from the closed configuration to the intermediate configuration, and the second hinge body moving the door component about a second pivot point that is different from the first pivot point when the hinge assembly moves from the intermediate configuration to the open configuration. Related methods are also provided.
Window Lock
According to an embodiment of the disclosure, an improved window lock includes a base hinge, a lever lock, and a base hook. The base hinge includes an adhesive material that allows mounting of the base hinge to either the window being locked or a frame that moves with the window being locked. The lever lock moves with respect to the base hinge with the interface between the two being respective hinge portions. The base hook includes an adhesive material that allows a mounting of base hook to a frame at a particular desired location for locking the window.
Fitting assembly and window or door having such a fitting assembly
A fitting assembly arranged between a fixed frame and a sash of a window or a door, comprises a fixed-frame-side support bracket, a sash-side support bracket, a scissor assembly as well as a spacer. The fixed-frame-side support bracket surrounds a fixed-frame corner of the fixed frame with a bearing leg and an additional support leg. The sash-side support bracket surrounds a sash corner of the sash with a bearing leg and an additional support-bracket leg. The spacer may either be arranged on the side of the additional support-bracket leg of the fixed-frame-side support bracket facing a first fixed-frame rebate face or on the side of the additional support-bracket leg of the sash-side support bracket facing a first sash rebate face. A scissor assembly supported on the bearing leg of the fixed-frame-side support bracket and on the bearing leg of the sash-side support bracket allows the sash to be rotationally and translationally moved with respect to the fixed frame.
Method and device for transmitting electrical power and/or signals between a wall and a leaf pivotable relative thereto
A method for transmitting at least one of electrical power and signals between a wall and a leaf which can be pivoted relative to the wall. The method includes providing a transmission device, detecting a magnetic field strength in surroundings of the transmission device, and generating a fault signal when the magnetic field strength exceeds a threshold value.
