SLIDING SASH ASSEMBLIES
A sliding sash assembly for use as a door or window includes: (a) a frame defining a frame opening; (b) a pair of sashes mounted in the frame opening and slidable relative to each other along an opening axis between a closed position and an open position; and (c) at least one stop device including a housing and a pair of depressible stop members movably mounted in the housing. The stop members are spaced apart from each other along the opening axis. Each stop member is selectively movable independent of the other stop member between a retracted position in which the stop member is retracted into the housing and an advanced position in which the stop member projects from the housing for engagement with one of the sashes to restrict movement of the sashes relative to each other toward the open position.
VERTICALLY SLIDING MANUAL OPENING AND CLOSING DOOR
A vertically sliding manual opening and closing door with good one-handed operability, including: a plate-like door member configured to open and close an opening section by being slid vertically; a support member configured to guide the vertical sliding of the door member by a support section configured to support left and right end sections of the door member; and a lock mechanism configured to position the door member that has been raised.
DOOR LOWERING MECHANISM AND METHOD
A door braking system includes: a shaft; a brake pad configured to be mounted to the shaft; a plate for mounting on the shaft adjacent to the brake pad; a spring for urging the plate to the brake pad, the spring configured to be mounted on the shaft; a nut dimensioned and sized to be mounted on the shaft for adjusting an amount of force the spring urges the plate against the brake pad. A method of applying variable amount of braking force to a door includes: attaching a brake pad and brake plate to a shaft; configuring a spring to urge the brake plate against the brake pad; mounting an adjustment piece to the shaft; and configuring the adjustment piece to move axially on the shaft as the shaft rotates to thereby vary a force the spring urges against the brake plate.
Sash balance for vertical slider window
A removable balance system for a sash movable vertically between a pair of window jambs. The balance system includes a U-shaped balance channel member and a double block and tackle system disposed within the U-shaped balance channel with a locking feature selectively operable between extending laterally outwardly from the shoe for engagement with an opening in the jamb channel and recessed within the shoe. In operation the locking feature is inserted into an upper most opening in the jamb channel and the cord of the double block and tackle is withdrawn to an extent sufficient for the locking feature to engage a second opening in the jamb channel thereby securing the balance system in place within each jamb providing a seat for the sash atop the two laterally disposed shoes.

Sliding door and track assembly
The present invention discloses a simple, integral, sliding door track and hook assembly for a box or carrier. The door track and hook assembly includes a frame having a pair of tracks, a panel in slidable engagement with the pair of tracks, a slot present in the pair of tracks. The door (or panel) and track assembly is configured to arrest the panel in a fixed position when the panel is in an open arrangement without the need for additional hardware to keep it open. The invention eliminates or minimizes use of hardware. The hook portion of the assembly has no lock mechanism, and no special door is required.
