Method of attaching and detaching objects allowing for controlled rotation
An apparatus for attaching and detaching hard objects allowing for rotation wherein protrusions built in or attached to one object are forced into cavity sockets built in or attached to another by causing force resulting in momentary bending of protrusions or the cavities. The sequential bending causes curvilinear motion allowing protrusions to enter otherwise inaccessible cavity sockets. Once in, the components of the joining mechanism revert to natural position and an equilibrium is reached which keeps the objects attached, yet free to move around an axis. This equilibrium can only be disturbed by causing force at specific points on the mechanism and pulling the objects apart in a curvilinear motion, thereby detaching the objects in one continuous motion with little effort. Momentary bending necessary to operate the apparatus is made possible by empty space in the casing housing the mechanism. Permitted angles of rotation are controllable and attached objects can be locked in a position.
Hinge for an item of furniture
The invention relates to a hinge for an item of furniture, comprising a first and a second hinge part (100, 200) that are pivotably interconnected by means of a hinged connection, the second hinge part (200) carrying or comprising a mounting element (300), the mounting element (300) comprising at least one guide assembly comprising at least one guide (405) that extends in the direction of a longitudinal axis (L) of the mounting element (300), the mounting element (300) being connected to a retaining part (400) when in the mounting position, and the guide assembly acting between the mounting element (300) and the retaining part (400), by means of which guide assembly the mounting element (300) can be moved into a mounting position in a manner guided in the guide direction. A significant improvement in the ease of mounting is achieved in a hinge of this kind if the guide assembly comprises a first centering guide (406), by means of which the mounting element (300) is aligned in a first mounting direction when adjusted in the guide direction (L).
HINGE ARRANGEMENT FOR A SWITCH CABINET AND A CORRESPONDING METHOD
A hinge arrangement for a switch cabinet, having a switch cabinet body and a switch cabinet door which is fastened thereto via at least two hinges arranged vertically one above the other, at least a first of the hinges, which is arranged above a second of the hinges, having a first body-side hinge half with a first hinge pin which projects vertically upwards from a first pin seat, onto which a first door-side hinge half is fitted, wherein the first hinge pin has an auxiliary mounting position in which it projects from the first pin seat by a first length which is greater than a second length by which a second hinge pin of a second body-side hinge half of the second hinge projects from its second pin seat. A corresponding method is also described.
METHOD OF ATTACHING AND DETACHING OBJECTS ALLOWING FOR CONTROLLED ROTATION
A method of attaching and detaching objects allowing for rotation wherein protrusions built in or attached to one object are forced into cavity sockets built in or attached to another by causing force resulting in momentary bending of protrusions or the cavities. Objects not permitting momentary bending can be attached with the mechanism housed in a casing. Permitted angles of rotation are controllable and attached objects can be locked in a position.
Kit for defining a recess for a single or multi-way joint
A multi-panel kit defining one or more recesses for a structural joint. The kit including first and second panels for respectively defining first and second faces of the one or more recesses in use. One or more intermediate panels, each defining an intermediate face of at least one, of the one or more recesses in use, and one or more pairs of slots, each comprising a first slot through the first panel and a second slot through the second panel. The one or more recesses are intermediate the first and second panels, and the intermediate faces of each recess extending between the first and second faces of that recess. Each pair of slots is for receiving one of the one or more intermediate panels in use, and each of the one or more intermediate panels includes a first notch and a second notch for receiving an edge of the first slot and an edge of the second slot of a pair of slots respectively in use.
