The operator system further comprises a door (8) arranged to be moved between an open and closed (C) position, the door (8) being movably connected to the door frame (3) and a drive unit (10) mounted on the door (8), the drive unit (10) comprising at least one motor (11) arranged to move the door (8) from the closed position (C) to the open position (O). An elongated transmission member (19) extends along the first side (7) of the opening (2) and the first frame section (4). The drive unit (10) further comprises a driven transmission member (18) in driving connection with the motor (11). The method comprises the steps of: detecting door movement; determining if detected door movement relates to unexpected door movement; and, if so, taking action so as to prevent more extensive damages. The disclosure further relates to an overhead door operator system for opening and closing an opening.
Step device for vehicle
A step device for a vehicle includes a movable step and a coupling member. The movable step includes a guide rail. The coupling member is configured to cause the movable step to move from a deployed position to a retracted position as a engaging part comes into sliding contact with a side wall of the guide rail that is located on an inner side in a vehicle width direction and, while pressing the side wall, moves inside the guide rail in a direction of closing a sliding door. The guide rail is configured such that a terminal end region on a closing side including a terminal end position at which the engaging part is located when the sliding door is fully closed constitutes a closing-side free running zone in which the engaging part does not press either of the side walls.
Control systems for folding partitions and related methods
A motor control system for a folding partition includes a data storage device and processing circuitry. The data storage device is configured to store a normal threshold profile to serve as a threshold for a measured current supplied to a motor to detect abnormal operation of the motor. The motor is configured to drive motion of the folding partition. The processing circuitry is operably coupled to the data storage device. The processing circuitry is configured to generate an adjusted threshold profile to serve as a threshold for the measured current supplied to the motor while moving the folding partition during a transition from an abnormal operational mode to the normal operational mode. The adjusted threshold profile is used for detecting additional abnormal operation of the motor. The processing circuitry is configured to generate the adjusted threshold profile by adjusting at least a portion of the normal threshold profile.
OPENING/CLOSING CONTROL DEVICE AND OPENING/CLOSING CONTROL METHOD
With respect to an opening/closing control device for controlling an opening/closing operation of an opening/closing body driven by a motor, the opening/closing control device includes a current detector, a voltage detector, a processor, and a memory. The processor calculates the speed of the opening/closing body based on a change in the detected position of the opening/closing body, and decreases the pinch threshold value in a case where a state, in which the calculated speed of the opening/closing body is less than or equal to a first predetermined threshold value, and a temporal change in the calculated load is greater than or equal to a second predetermined threshold value and less than or equal to a third predetermined threshold value, continues for a certain period of time or greater.
Method and Device for Detecting Potential Pinches
A method for detecting potential pinches caused by at least one powered movable panel between a closed position and an open position, by: measuring a physical quantity at a plurality of panel positions when the panel is moved towards the open position so as to get a first profile, measuring said physical quantity in a reference position, when the panel is moved towards the closed position, and determining an offset value, determining a second profile by shifting the first profile of a shifting value, measuring said physical quantity in a repetitive manner when the panel is moved towards the closed position so as to get a third profile, and detecting a potential pinch if the third profile crosses the second profile.
ANTI-PINCH SENSOR EASY INSTALL TO FLANGE
A liftgate for a vehicle having an anti-pinch sensor attached at an outer peripheral area of the liftgate. A liftgate including an outwardly extending flange portion. An anti-pinch sensor mount including a U-shaped cross section which is adapted to fit over and secure to the outwardly extending flange portion. An anti-pinch sensor attached to the mount for sensing an interference in opening or closing of the liftgate and reversing the opening or closing of the liftgate.

MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVE ASSEMBLY
A motor vehicle drive assembly which is equipped with a drive element and an abutment, and also with at least one spring between the drive element and the abutment. In addition, there is at least one drive element sensor which, depending on the application of force by the drive element counter to the force of the spring and an associated relative movement between the drive element and the abutment, transmits sensor signals to a control unites. According to the invention, the drive element sensor, depending on the application of force by the drive element, generates different force-dependent, sliding sensor signals which are evaluated by the control unites, for example to drive an actuating element.
System and method for power tailgate safety
A pick-up truck includes a pick-up bed, a tailgate connected to the pick-up bed, a motor configured to move the tailgate along a path, a camera, and processors. The processors stop the tailgate while the tailgate is automatically moving in response to detecting, via the camera, any object within the path.
