OPENING/CLOSING CONTROL DEVICE
20180002968 · 2018-01-04 ·

A boundary position, which determines the range of the positions of the window within which trap prevention control is disabled, is set according to the sum of a first amount of rotation and a second amount of rotation. The first amount of rotation approximates a change, in a reference amount of rotation, that corresponds to a change in a detected voltage from a reference voltage. The second amount of rotation is set to a value that is smaller than the difference between a specific amount of rotation at a stop and the reference amount of rotation and is larger than the amount of variations in the reference amount of rotation.

Control Device for a Vehicle Having an Automatically Closing Hatch
20170335616 · 2017-11-23 ·

The control device relates to a vehicle having an automatically closing hatch, including at least one operating switch for outputting a closing command to automatically close the hatch by way of at least one actuator, a monitoring device for recognizing a blocking or jamming event during the closing procedure and a programmable electronic control unit which is connected with both the operating switch and the monitoring device, and which detects the vehicle speed as an input signal. The monitoring device is designed such that a risk of jamming can be recognized by monitoring the current curve and/or the rotational speed curve of the actuator. The control unit is programmed so as to only stop the closing procedure on recognition of a risk of jamming if the vehicle speed is less than a specified threshold value. Additionally or alternatively, the control unit is programmed so as to initially only react to the occurrence of comparatively large speed or current fluctuations by terminating the automatic closing procedure, for a certain time window and/or for a given distance covered by the tailgate, if the vehicle speed is above a specified threshold.

Systems and methods for avoiding interference between an overhead door and a lifter

Systems and methods for operating an overhead door opener and a lifter are disclosed. The lifter is positioned above the overhead door when the overhead door is in a retracted position and raises and lowers objects along a path that, without care, will intersect with the overhead door. A controller monitors the position of the overhead door and the lifter and moves the overhead door if the lifter is out of the way, and if the lifter is not out of the way the command is not executed to prevent interference between the lifter and the overhead door.

Opening and closing apparatus with lock

An opening and closing apparatus with a lock that is provided is capable of safely and promptly closing a sliding door, and also easily performing unlocking with a simple configuration. In an opening and closing apparatus with a lock for opening and closing sliding doors that are provided with elastic members at their door leading ends, output of an electric motor is transmitted to a rack-and-pinion mechanism or a lock mechanism. A control unit controls the electric motor such that a closing operation is performed, the closing operation operates the rack-and-pinion mechanism so as to move the sliding doors to a fully closed position and then displacing a link mechanism in a lock mechanism from an unlocking position to a locking position. Furthermore, the control unit controls the electric motor so as to reduce the output of the electric motor at a predetermined intermediate time point during the closing operation.

Method and Device for Detecting Potential Pinches
20220154511 · 2022-05-19 ·

A method for detecting potential pinches caused by at least one powered movable panel between a closed position and an open position, by: measuring a physical quantity at a plurality of panel positions when the panel is moved towards the open position so as to get a first profile, measuring said physical quantity in a reference position, when the panel is moved towards the closed position, and determining an offset value, determining a second profile by shifting the first profile of a shifting value, measuring said physical quantity in a repetitive manner when the panel is moved towards the closed position so as to get a third profile, and detecting a potential pinch if the third profile crosses the second profile.

OPENING-CLOSING CONTROL SYSTEM, OPENING-CLOSING CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

The opening-closing control system includes an outputter that outputs a control signal for controlling an operation of an opening-closing member configured to open and close an opening provided in a first facility, and an obtainer that obtains alert information on an alert from a second facility different from the first facility. Then, the outputter outputs the control signal for controlling the opening or closing of the opening by the opening-closing member based on the information.

Motorized hinge device

A motorized hinge device (1) has a first connection means (3) assigned to be fixed to a structure or framework of an appliance, and connected, at least by means of a connecting rod means (5), to a second connection means (7) assigned to be fixed to a door of the appliance. This second connection means (7) is hinged to the first connection means (3) by means of a hinge pin means (11). An actuator (13) has a body (15) fixed to the first connection means (3) and a movable member (17) which is movable with respect to the body (15) and is connected to the connecting rod means (5). In an operative condition, the actuator means (13) is operated to move, by means of the connecting rod means (5), the door around the hinge pin means (11) between extreme opening (A) and closing (C) conditions, and vice versa.

Movable barrier operator apparatus with safety system override, and method

Controlling movable barrier movement with respect to selectively overriding a safety system includes determining whether a safety system is in an operation failure or misalignment state, the safety system being configured to detect obstruction in a path of movement of a movable barrier, receiving a state change request for the movable barrier while the safety system is in the operation failure or misalignment state, determining whether a safety override condition exists, and overriding the safety system and actuating the movable barrier if the safety system is in the operation failure or misalignment state and the safety override condition exists.
