Controlling a vehicle
Systems and techniques are disclosed for controlling a vehicle. A vehicle control apparatus includes a sensing unit that senses an eyeline of a passenger in a vehicle. The vehicle control apparatus also includes a controller. In some implementations, the controller identifies a window of the vehicle that corresponds to the sensed eyeline of the passenger, detects a window control action performed by the passenger, and controls the identified window to open or close based on the window control action performed by the passenger. In some implementations, the controller identifies a device of the vehicle that corresponds to the sensed eyeline of the passenger, and operates the identified device based on the sensed eyeline of the passenger, wherein the identified device is a multimedia device or a navigation device of the vehicle.
METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC CLOSURE OF A VEHICLE TAILGATE
The disclosure concerns a method for the remote-controlled operation of a tailgate of a motor vehicle. A sensor arrangement of the motor vehicle detects environmental data of the motor vehicle. A control apparatus of the motor vehicle triggers the opening of the tailgate on receiving a wireless opening signal from an operator and triggers the closing of the tailgate on receiving a wireless closing signal from an operator. The control apparatus checks for the presence of at least one closure condition of the tailgate that is independent of the wireless closing signal based on the environmental data detected by the sensor arrangement during opening of the tailgate, and if the closure condition is present, the control apparatus triggers the closing of the tailgate.
PROGRAMMABLE DOOR POWER ASSIST
A power assist device is provided herein. A motor is operatively coupled to a door of a vehicle. A controller controls the motor and a user-input device supplies to the controller one or more user-inputted selections for controlling door swing.
Mobile hearable device
A mobile hearable device for communicating with a vehicle control system is described. The mobile hearable device includes a microphone, and a wireless transceiver configured as one of a near field magnetic induction (NFMI) transceiver and a near field electromagnetic induction (NFEMI) transceiver. The mobile hearable device includes a processor coupled to the transceiver and the microphone. The processor receives a location identifier via the transceiver from a location identification transmitter located in a vehicle, the location identification transmitter is configured as one of a NFMI transmitter and a NFEMI transmitter. If the processor receives a speech signal from a user of the mobile hearable device, it determines whether the speech signal includes an actuator control command and generates a control instruction comprising the actuator control command and the location identifier. The control instruction is transmitted to a vehicle control system and used to control an actuator in a vehicle dependent on the location of the person using the mobile hearable device.
MOVABLE BARRIER OPERATOR HAVING UPDATABLE SECURITY PROTOCOL
A proxy device comprising a processor and a communication interface communicatively coupled to the processor. The communication interface configured to transmit information representative of a second security protocol to a remote control. The remote control operable to transmit communications to a movable barrier operator utilizing a first security protocol. In response to transmitting the information representative of the second security protocol to the remote control, the communication interface receives a first acknowledgement communication from the remote control indicating the remote control utilizes the second security protocol.
Refrigerator and controlling method thereof
A refrigerator and a controlling method thereof are provided. The refrigerator includes a main body including first and second doors, a first motor for opening the first door and a second motor for opening the second door, and a processor configured to, based on a user command for opening the door being obtained, start driving the first motor to open the first door, and after a first time from the time when the first motor has started being driven, start driving the second motor to open the second door.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTELLIGENT CONTROL OF VEHICLE WINDOWS
Systems and methods for operating a vehicle are provided. A vehicle can detect activation of a one touch window open/close feature of the vehicle. Based on that, the vehicle then detects that one or more conditions associated with the one touch window open/close feature are met. The vehicle further provides one or more options for modifying a default operation of the one touch window open/close feature. The vehicle then receives an input indicating selection of one of the one or more options and modifies the default operation of the one touch window open/close feature to determine a modified operation. Thereafter, the vehicle performs the one touch window open/close operation based on the modified operation.
