SMART ENTRYWAY
20210207429 · 2021-07-08 ·

A smart entryway includes an entrance door assembly configured to allow users (e.g., residents) to enter and exit a first space (e.g., a residence) and a storage assembly configured to allow secondary users (e.g., deliverymen) in a second space (e.g., a porch) to store items for later retrieval by the users. A portion of the storage assembly may be optionally refrigerated or heated. A security assembly is provided between the entrance door assembly and the storage assembly. The security assembly includes an authentication device to authenticate users and secondary users and a locking device to unlock the storage assembly and the entrance door assembly upon authentication. The locking device is provided behind the authentication device and concealed from the second space. When a first door of the storage assembly accessible from the first space is opened, a second door of the storage assembly accessible from the second space is locked.

MONOPOLE DOOR HINGES AND ASSEMBLIES

The present disclosure describes a monopole door hinge assembly. The assembly may comprise a monopole comprising a door, the monopole and door both having an interior surface, and a plurality of hinges. Each hinge may comprise a base member configured to be secured to the interior surface of the monopole; and a rib member having a supporting portion and a mounting portion, the supporting portion having an arcuate profile that corresponds to an arcuate profile of the interior surface of the door and the mounting portion is pivotably attached to the base member. The base member of each hinge is mounted to the interior surface of the monopole and the supporting portion of each hinge is mounted to the interior surface of the door, thereby securing the door to the monopole.

SPINDLE DRIVE ASSEMBLY, VEHICLE FLAP WITH A SPINDLE DRIVE ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING A SPINDLE DRIVE ASSEMBLY
20200291710 · 2020-09-17 ·

A spindle drive assembly for opening and/or closing a vehicle flap is described. It has a spindle drive assembly housing extending along a spindle drive axis and having, between its axial ends, a stop section acting axially on both sides. A motor gear unit is arranged on a first side of the stop section and a spindle unit is arranged on a second side of the stop section. Furthermore, a vehicle flap with such a spindle drive assembly is presented. In addition, a method of assembling a spindle drive assembly is presented.

ADJUSTABLE HINGE ASSEMBLY FOR AUTOMOBILE TAILGATE
20200284078 · 2020-09-10 ·

This invention relates to an adjustable hinge assembly for an automobile tailgate. The hinge assembly contains a first mounting plate configured for mounting to an automobile body, a first hinge member attached to the first mounting plate, a second mounting plate configured for mounting to a tailgate, and a second hinge member attached to the second mounting plate. The first and second hinge members are hingedly connected. Adjustment screws are positioned on the hinge assembly to adjust the position of the first hinge member on the first mounting plate in the x- and y-direction. An adjustment screw is positioned on the hinge assembly to adjust the position of the second hinge on the second mounting plate in the z-direction.

FURNITURE DRIVE

A furniture drive for moving a furniture part movably supported relative to a furniture carcass the furniture drive includes a housing having a first housing wall to be fixed to the furniture carcass, and a second housing wall which is at least partially spaced from the first housing wall. At least the first housing wall includes at least one guide device for guiding a fastening means. At least one supporting body is configured so as to be separate from the at least one guide device for guiding the fastening means, at least partially surrounds the at least one guide device, and is firmly connected to the first housing wall as well as to the second housing wall so that a movement of the second housing wall relative to the first housing wall is restrained.

OPENING-AND-CLOSING BODY DRIVING DEVICE

An opening-and-closing body driving device includes an extendable unit including a spindle, a nut, a rod, a bearing, and a guide tube; and a driving unit. The guide tube includes an insertion portion, and an inner tube configured to allow movement of the nut in the axial direction and restrict rotation of the nut. A surface of the bearing facing a direction opposite to an insertion direction, in which the insertion portion is inserted, is defined as a first reference surface, and a surface of the housing facing a direction opposite to the insertion direction is defined as a second reference surface. A distance from the first reference surface of the bearing to a distal end of the inner peripheral wall is longer than a distance from the second reference surface of the housing to a distal end of the outer peripheral wall in the axial direction.

Power tailgate mounting system for a vehicle

A power tailgate mounting system for a vehicle includes a first gusset member and a second gusset member. The first gusset member is secured to an inward side of a roof rail of the vehicle at a rear end portion of the roof rail. The first gusset member has a first gusset tailgate motor mounting portion extending laterally inwardly from the roof rail for mounting an associated tailgate motor. The second gusset member is secured to the inward side of the roof rail at the rear end portion of the roof rail. The second gusset member has a second gusset tailgate mounting portion extending laterally inwardly from the roof rail for mounting the associated tailgate motor. The second gusset tailgate mounting portion overlaps the first gusset tailgate mounting portion.
