A door operating system for moving a door about a vertical pivot axis between a closed position and an open position. The door operating system includes a driver including a free-ended output shaft and linkage for operably connecting the output shaft of the driver with door. An adjustable and selectively operable coupling is disposed between the free-end of the output shaft of the driver and the linkage. The adjustable coupling has a pair of coaxially spaced and adjustable interfaces. A first adjustable interface is defined between the free-end of the output shaft and the coupling while a second adjustable interface is defined between the coupling and the linkage whereby allowing for a high resolution, angular adjustment of the position of the door.

A cylinder-piston unit with load-dependent damping includes a piston longitudinally displaceable in a cylinder. The piston has a first piston channel and a second piston channel, which each connect a compensation space on one side of the piston to a displacement space side on an opposite side of the piston. On the displacement space side a throttle channel connects one first piston channel to the piston lateral surface. On its displacement space side the piston has a piston journal, which carries a resiliently deformable piston disc. The piston disc is displaceable and covers the throttle channel at least partially. The displacement space side has at least one relief portion deviating from a piston end face plane. The relief portion is delimited on a number of sides by a plurality of boundary lines running concentrically with respect to the central axis. Each of these boundary lines can be differentiated continuously.

A lower hinge pin is coupled with the lower hinge support and is vertically translated within the first and second pin receptacles when the second pivot member moves between the first and second positions.

A refrigerator includes a cabinet provided with a storage compartment, a door capable of opening and closing the storage compartment, a turning plate and a hinge assembly including a hinge moving member and a hinge fixed member connecting the door to the turning plate. One of the hinge moving member or the hinge fixed member defines a trajectory having a first end portion and a second end portion. The other of the hinge moving member or the hinge fixed member has a limiting portion adapted to rotate between the first end portion and the second end portion along the trajectory.

A hinged system includes a preassembled hinge module for pivotally coupling a first component to a second component. The preassembled hinge module includes a shaft, a torque element frictionally engaging the shaft, and a housing. The housing includes a cover, a side wall, and a rear wall that define an interior space enclosed within the housing. The interior space receives the torque element inside the housing. The cover defines a first aperture, and the rear wall defines a second aperture, the first aperture and the second aperture aligned with a pivot axis of the shaft. The shaft extends through at least the first aperture, the interior space, and the second aperture. The shaft is separate from, and configured to be mounted to, the first component. The housing is separate from, and configured to be mounted to, the second component.
