Systems and methods for sealing a refrigerated galley of an aircraft
The present disclosure provides system for sealing a refrigerated galley of an aircraft. The system includes a door, and a seal assembly positioned at a bottom surface of the door. The seal assembly includes (i) a housing coupled to the bottom surface of the door, (ii) a seal positioned at least partially in the housing, wherein the seal is moveable relative to the housing and the door, (iii) a biasing mechanism coupled to the housing and the seal and configured to hold the seal in a relaxed state by applying a biasing force to the seal in a direction away from a floor surface of the refrigerated galley, and (iv) an activation mechanism coupled to the housing. The activation mechanism is configured to transition the seal from the relaxed state to a compressed state in response to a rotation of the door from an open position to a closed position.
MAGNETICALLY ACTUATED DOOR SEAL
An automatic door seal is provided for sealing the gap between the lower edge of a door and a threshold. The seal is magnetically actuated so as to move downward into sealing engagement with the threshold when the door is closed and raises out of engagement when the door is opened. A transmission assembly converts horizontal movement from the magnetic force into vertical movement for the seal. Springs provide a reset force when the magnetic force is eliminated so as to retract the seal strip whenever the door is moved from the closed position.
FENESTRATION MEMBER SEALING SYSTEM
The system includes a gear mounted for rotation relative to the fenestration member. A mechanical linkage connects the latch control member and the gear such that the gear is rotated from a first position, where the latch is disengaged, to a second position as the latch is moved to engage the fenestration member frame. A rack in engagement with the gear is mounted to a first bar for linear movement in a given direction as the gear is rotated. A first triangular member moves with the rack. A second triangular member attached to a second bar cooperates with the first triangular member to move the second bar in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of rack movement. A gasket moves with the second bar to a position abutting the adjacent surface to automatically seal the member to the adjacent surface as the member is latched.
Door with acoustic seals
A sliding door system (105) includes a track assembly (120) and a door (125) slidably connected to the track. Seals (245, 250, 605, 610, 300, 500) disposed about the door limit sound and/or infectious materials from passing thereby. One or more of the seals (245, 250) are disposed between the door and the track assembly. One or more other seals (605, 610) are disposed between the door and a wall to seal around the trailing end of the door. The system may also include a door dock (130) with one or more seals (300, 500) to seal around the leading end of the door. The system can also include a drop seal assembly (700) that selectively seals off a gap between the bottom of the door and the floor.
E-AUTO DOOR BOTTOM
A door sealing mechanism includes a solenoid for operating a cam mechanism to extend or retract a spring mechanism, causing a seal to engage/disengage with a floor/threshold, for allowing ease of opening/closing of the door while still providing sealing when the door is closed.
Door arrangement
A door arrangement has a door frame, a door leaf, door hinges and a magnetic closure device, wherein the door hinges are fastened on a hinge side of the door leaf and join the door leaf swivelably with the door frame. The door frame has a step for stopping the door leaf in the closed position, the step having a stop arm overlapping the door leaf in the closed position and a lateral arm. The closure device is formed from a magnet arrangement on the door frame as well as a magnetic material on a rim of the door leaf. The magnet arrangement is disposed on the lateral arm in such a way that a gap remains between the magnet arrangement and the magnetic material disposed on the rim of the door leaf.
Seal Device
A seal device for a door with a pivotable door leaf includes a drop-down seal for arrangement on or in the door leaf. The drop-down seal has a housing profile rail, a sealing strip, a lowering mechanism, and an actuating part. The seal device includes a triggering module with a rotation element, wherein the triggering module acts on the actuating part when the door leaf is being closed. The triggering module has a guide element for fastening the triggering module on or in the door leaf or fixedly on the housing profile rail. The rotation element is held in a coupling part and the coupling part can be moved relative to the guide element with guidance by the guide element. The seal device makes it possible to use a triggering module optimally in force terms and can also be used in pivot doors, in particular in rebated doors.
Seal Device
A seal device for a door with a pivotable door leaf includes a drop-down seal for arrangement on or in the door leaf. The drop-down seal has a housing profile rail, a sealing strip which can be raised and lowered relative to the housing profile rail, a lowering mechanism for raising and lowering the sealing strip, and an actuating part, wherein the actuating part actuates the lowering mechanism when the door leaf is being closed. The seal device includes a triggering module with a wheel, wherein the triggering module acts on the actuating part when the door leaf is being closed. The triggering module is designed for arrangement on or in the door leaf and/or is arranged fixedly on the housing profile rail. This seal device is suitable in particular for pivot doors.
