A retractable curved door assembly includes a spring-loaded roller assembly having a reel structure configured to rotate about an axis of rotation thereof, a rail extending away from the spring-loaded roller assembly in a direction perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the reel structure with at least a portion of the rail curving about an axis arranged parallel to the axis of rotation of the reel structure, a door end structure slidably engaging the rail, a flexible screen coupled to the reel structure and to the door end structure, and a tension element coupled to the reel structure and the door end structure. A greater tensile force is applied to the tension element than to the flexible screen when the door end structure is slid along the rail in a direction away from the spring-loaded roller assembly to prevent buckling of the flexible screen.

Low Friction High Speed Roll Door at High Wind Loads

A high speed roll door is movable between an open and a closed position at an opening of a building. The door includes a flexible curtain and a pair of side columns. Each side column provides an inner track to guide the curtain in vertical movement and restrain the curtain from lateral movement during deployment and retraction. The curtain further includes multiple cross bars supporting the flexible curtain from one of the pair of side columns to the other. Each of the cross bars further includes a first longitudinal bar sandwiching part of the curtain; and a second longitudinal bar pivotally connected to the first longitudinal bar. The hinge has an axis of rotation parallel to the first and the second longitudinal bars. At least a wheel is rotatably affixed to each end of the second longitudinal bar to engage the inner track of each of the side columns.

Panel assembly

A panel assembly including a panel that can be positioned in an opening, the panel including a plurality of locking members spaced apart along at least part of a length of and proximate to opposing longitudinal edges of the panel and a guide extending along either side of the opening, each guide including at least one locking flange extending along at least part of a length of the guide, wherein in use the panel is received in the guides so that the locking members selectively engage the flanges to limit lateral movement of the panel edges.

VEHICLE INTERIOR ASSEMBLY WITH TAMBOUR DOOR

A vehicle interior assembly includes a tambour door that is moveable along end guides between an open position and a closed position. The tambour door includes a plurality of slats interconnected by a unidirectional cord embedded in a plastic material of each one of the slats. The cord, such as yarn of aramid fibers can be molded-in to each one of the slats to simplified formation of the articulated joints between slats.

A roll-up door including a flexible curtain having a front surface, a back surface, a first end coupled to a shaft, a second end opposite the first end, and first and second side edges extending between the first end and the second end, the flexible curtain being moveable between a retracted position wherein the flexible curtain is coiled around the shaft and a deployed position wherein the flexible curtain is uncoiled from the shaft. A first retention band is mounted along at least a portion of the first side edge of the flexible curtain, the first retention band including an inner surface at least partially facing towards the flexible curtain, an outer surface opposite the inner surface, a fixed edge attached to the flexible curtain generally parallel to the first side edge, and a free edge opposite the fixed edge and movable relative to the fixed edge.

BATTENED ROLLER COVERING

A covering for an architectural-structure covering is disclosed. The covering is formed from a plurality of assembled strips of fabric material joined together. Each assembled strip of fabric material may include a fabric material including inner and outer surfaces, and top and bottom ends. A first slat may be coupled to the inner surface of the fabric material adjacent the top end thereof, the first slat having a first contact surface. A second slat may be coupled to the outer surface of the fabric material adjacent the bottom end thereof, the second slat having a second contact surface. The first contact surface of the first slat of a first assembled strip is preferably nested with the second contact surface of the second slat of an adjoining second assembled strip. The second contact surface of the second slat may be partially covered by the piece of fabric material.

The invention relates to a roller door comprising a door leaf which is movable between an open position, in which it uncovers a wall opening at least partially and preferably forms a multi-layer coil at least partially above the wall opening, and a closed position, in which it closes the wall opening at least partially, said door leaf having a plurality of door leaf segments arranged one behind the other in the direction of movement of the door leaf. At least one stabilizing device extending perpendicular to the direction of movement of the door leaf is arranged between two door leaf segments, and the mutually facing edge regions of the door leaf segments are held on the stabilizing device, at least one edge region of at least one segment being held in a floating manner on the stabilizing device in such a way that a relative movement of this edge region with respect to the stabilizing device is possible at least in the direction of movement of the door leaf.

Roller door blades and roller doors

Roller doors made of flexible material have a number of uses, particularly for rapid access into cool stores. However, such doors require stiffening in the form of wind bars to prevent the doors blowing out in gusts of wind. The wind bars produce problems when rapidly closing a roller door, as the door blade of the roller door is rolled up onto a roller. And for doors in cool stores that are opened and closed hundreds of times a day, such problems are significant. The present roller door blade solves or minimizes the problems by fitting longitudinal spacer elements along the length of the door which act to provide space between adjacent layers of the door blade as it accumulates on the roller, allowing any wind bars of the door blade to be stowed on the roller without interfering or clashing with other wind bars.
