Bullet-resistant roller door
A bulletproof roller door (1) has a door leaf (2) includes bendably connected door leaf elements (21) and defines a door leaf plane in roller door closed state, the door leaf being moveable between an open position and a closed position via a drive (5). The door leaf elements have cavities (25) with an antiballistic insert (26) insertable therein. The inserts of adjacent door leaf elements overlap in the closed state of the roller door (1). At least one antiballistic defense strip (30, 31) is set at an angle in relation to the insert and covers a gap between the inserts of adjacent door leaf elements in the closed state and is arranged in the cavity of the door leaf element. It is thus achieved that the roller door (1) possess high-speed properties, has a lowest weight possible, and also offers protection against ballistic effects.
ROLLING SHUTTER LOCKING SYSTEM
A locking system for a rolling shutter that includes a plurality of rolling shutter slats, comprises a guide track with a U-shaped guide channel having a channel base, and first and second channel walls. A lock bar is coupled to the rolling shutter slats. In a locked position, the lock bar extends transverse to the channel base. The lock bar has a notch covered by a breakaway wall that is aligned with the channel base in the locked position. The lock bar may be slidably received in a sleeve that is positioned in the guide channel to increase resistance to torsional forces on the locking system. In an alternative embodiment, the locking system comprises a unitary extruded body, a lock bar, and a handle. A longitudinal channel is formed integrally in the body for receiving the lock bar and handle. The lock bar is slidable in the channel between an extended locked position and a retracted unlocked position. The handle is positioned in the channel to stop the retraction of the lock bar at the unlocked position.
Low Friction High Speed Roll Door at High Wind Loads
A high speed roll door is movable between an open and a closed position at an opening of a building. The door includes a flexible curtain and a pair of side columns. Each side column provides an inner track to guide the curtain in vertical movement and restrain the curtain from lateral movement during deployment and retraction. The curtain further includes multiple cross bars supporting the flexible curtain from one of the pair of side columns to the other. Each of the cross bars further includes a first longitudinal bar sandwiching part of the curtain; and a second longitudinal bar pivotally connected to the first longitudinal bar. The hinge has an axis of rotation parallel to the first and the second longitudinal bars. At least a wheel is rotatably affixed to each end of the second longitudinal bar to engage the inner track of each of the side columns.
Air seal for a liftable closure
A liftable closure element movable between a lowered and a raised configuration, is associated with a portal structure having a compartment for storing the closure element, delimited by a front wall, a space being provided which communicates with the compartment and with the outer environment between the wall and the closure element. An air seal device for the liftable closure includes first and second sealing members adapted to reach a facing position in which they adhere by magnetic attraction to close the transverse space, one connected to the wall for supporting a ferromagnetic plate, the other consisting of a magnetic member fixed to the closure element. The first sealing member includes a base structure which can be fixed to said wall by first and second adjustable fasteners in a position exactly corresponding to the position of the sealing member fixed to the surface of the closure element.
Closing element for roller shutter and movable wall for roller shutter comprising the closing element
A closing element for roller shutters comprising a central portion designed to be arranged, in use, according to a closing plane of an access opening of a room to at least partly close the access opening, and at least two connecting portions located on opposite edges of the central portion, each of which designed for connection of the closing element with at least one other closing element. Each connecting portion extends about a respective axis and defines a cavity for housing a connecting bar. The connecting portion has an open profile so that the cavity is accessible transversely to the axis.
Soft roll-up door with fall protection
A roll-up door with fall protection preferably includes a door web, a pair of guide tracks, a pair of lower track brackets, a plurality of upper track brackets and a door web roller. The door web includes a plurality of screen web panels and wind bars. Opposing ends of the door web are retained in the pair of guide tracks. A first wind bar is arraigned to be 42 inches off a floor to meet OSHA fall protection standards. The door web includes at least two upper wind bars above the first wind bar and at least one lower wind bar below the first wind bar. The pair of guide tracks are secured to a wall with the pair of lower track brackets and the plurality of upper track brackets. A top of the pair of lower track brackets are located at least 42 inches above the floor.
Roller shutter for mitigating impact force
A roller shutter may include a rotatable drum; a shutter curtain including a series of three or more elongate slats pivotally interlocked in a longitudinal-edge-to-longitudinal-edge arrangement and arranged parallel to the rotatable drum, wherein a first and second longitudinal end portions of each elongate slat may be respectively aligned to form a first side border and a second side border, respectively, of the shutter curtain, wherein the first and second longitudinal end portions of each elongate slat may be respectively provided with at least one eyelet-structure which protrudes therefrom, whereby a first and second rows of eyelet-structures are formed along the first and second side borders; and at least a first cord and a second cord respectively strung loosely through all eyelet-structures of respective row of eyelet-structures, and each cord may be configured to confine all eyelet-structures of the respective row of eyelet-structures within a length of each cord.
TURNOVER DEVICE AND SLOTLESS ROLLING DOOR COMPRISING THE SAME
A turnover device comprises a first turnover piece, a second turnover piece, a first pull rod and a second pull rod. The turnover device is immobilized upon impactor pull from the bottom. When a plurality of the first and the second turnover pieces are connected alternately, the second and the first turnover pieces are turned over one after another. A slotless rolling shutter door comprises two turnover devices which are arranged on two sides of the door body and can replace existing door slots formed in a wall body. The door body, with an improved appearance, is fixed without arranging the door slots in the wall body. When opening the door body, a door body winding device winds the turnover devices with door pieces to finally collect the door body and the turnover devices therein.
Deployable Shell Roll-up Door
Two embodiments of a roll-up door system, based on deployable shell designs, are disclosed. Each embodiment consists of: an axle providing continuity to the embodiment, a door panel assembly, two mounting and support assemblies, and two door alignment and support tracks. Each embodiment has the following attributes: large lateral load strength to weight ratio, good natural heat flow insulation, weather tightness and, with proper jamb seals, differential pressure boundary capability.
