Fire protection retrofits for high-rise buildings

Buildings, particularly high-rise buildings, are retrofitted with a fire resistant liquid-applied material, preferably a material that intumesces with heat, where the exterior of the building is formed of metal clad combustible foam composite panels. Once the fire resistant coating has been applied, new thin panels matching the original fascia are installed outside the original composite panels, with space between, so that the appearance of the building is maintained.

DOOR AND WALL STRUCTURE

A structure includes a body element and a surface plate attached to the body element. The surface element includes a substantially transparent material. The surface plate also includes on a portion thereof contacting the body element a colored surface layer.

MODULAR WINDOW ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF INSTALLATION AND MODIFICATION

A frame assembly for a modular window assembly for an opening in a structure comprises a main structural frame defining an electrical enclosure and being mountable to the structure, a removable exterior frame mountable to the main structural frame and defining an angled lip for water runoff, the removable exterior frame being configured to secure an outer glass pane of a set of glass panes of the modular window assembly, an insulating feature between the main structural frame and the removable exterior frame and configured to prevent thermal conduction therebetween, and at least one vapor neutralizer between the main structural frame and the removable exterior frame and configured to prevent moisture from accumulating within the modular window assembly. One primary benefit of this modular window assembly is the ability to swap out some or all of the set of glass panes and replace them with new glass technology as developed.

Door seal kit

The door seal kit is configured for use with a door. The door seal kit is a gas impermeable structure. The door seal kit forms a gas impermeable seal around the door. The gas impermeable seal prevents the exchange of gas from the atmosphere on the side of the door seal kit that is proximal to the door to the side of the door seal kit that is distal from the door. The door seal kit is used to contain gases, and their associated smells, within the room the door accesses. The door seal kit comprises a jamb frame and a sealing structure. The jamb frame attaches the sealing structure to the door jamb. The sealing structure forms the gas impermeable barrier around the door.

Press fit storm window system

A system for mounting a panel within an existing window frame. The system includes an elongated fin portion and an elongated carrier. The fin portion has a ridge section, an extension extending from the base end of the ridge section, and a crosspiece coupled to a distal end of the extension. The ridge section tapers from its base end to a deflectable and compressible tip of the ridge section. The crosspiece includes a pair of shoulders at opposite ends of the crosspiece. Each shoulder protrudes laterally beyond the extension. The elongated carrier has a receiving slot opposite a panel gap. The receiving slot has a neck laterally narrower than an interior cavity of the receiving slot. The receiving slot is configured to securely receive the crosspiece of the bulb and to confine the shoulders of the crosspiece.
