PRESS-FIT WINDOW INSERT
A press-fit window insert configured to provide secondary protection to an existing window, having a carrier, a fin, and a fastening clip. The carrier includes a substantially rigid framework having channels within the framework configured to securely accept one or more attachments. The fin extends from the carrier and includes a substantially flexible blade extending from a base portion of the fin. The base portion of the fin is configured to interlock the fin to the carrier. The fastening clip includes a substantially rigid brim extending from a base portion of the fastening clip. The base portion of the fastening clip is configured to interlock the fastening clip to the carrier.

The present invention consists of a composite frames for the manufacture of doors and/or windows, which is applied in a door and/or window opening of a building and consists of at least one fixed rim (1), at least one fixed and/or movable leaf (2), and elements such as skirting boards consisting of two profiles joined together: a metal profile (5a), preferably of aluminum, covered with a second wood profile (5b), wherein these two profiles are joined by means of a glue, preferably made of polyurethane.

The mull joints in compound fenestration assemblies as described herein use universal joining strips to form both sides of a mull joint, as well as other universal components such as, e.g., corner gussets, locator plates, end plugs, seal members, etc. that may be used as needed to form mull joints as required in a compound fenestration assembly.

The window system enables different windows of the same building to be individually customized for different impacts of coastal area weather and security concerns and also have the same external appearance despite employing various window protection steps. Panels, interior or exterior, are secured to the header and sill. Windows may be covered with exterior panels or include interior panels or impact resistant glass when the window is high on the building, or where security is a concern Windows including casement windows and other building penetrations may also accommodate interior panels, in combination with exterior protection. The window framing may have a uniform exterior appearance, notwithstanding different levels of protection.

A customizable storm protection system for protection and aesthetics comprises a first jamb, a second jamb, a header, and a sill, each with a glazing recess, and each with a receptacle for inserting a screw boss that runs a length of each of the first jamb, the second jamb, the header, and the sill, wherein joined define a frame for the opening in a building. A customizable storm protection system may further comprise glazing received by the glazing recess of each of the first jamb, the second jamb, the header, and the sill. A customizable storm protection system may further comprise a storm track configured to the frame to, wherein the storm track identifies fastener locations for the screw boss within the frame, and wherein the storm track comprises a cap, a stanchion, and an attachment layer for attachment to the frame. The system enables different openings in a building to be individually customized for different types of storm protection while maintaining a uniform exterior appearance.
FASTENING SYSTEMS FOR ATTACHING FABRIC TO A ROOF DECK
Fastener systems for roofing systems are disclosed for fastening a fabric, mesh, or base sheet to a roof deck prior to application of a liquid applied roof coating. The fastening assemblies may be attached to an uncleaned or unprimed roof deck and a fabric is laid atop the fasteners. The fasteners secure the fabric using mechanical binding or chemical bonding without penetrating or dimpling the fabric.

Systems and methods for providing a universal window frame assembly. A window frame assembly can include a plurality of frame members, wherein at least one of the frame members comprises a first profile frame member and at least one of the other frame members comprises a second profile frame member. The at least one first profile frame member and the at least one second profile frame member seat together to form the frame assembly. Head and side jamb members of a window frame can have a common first profile, and a sill jamb member can have a second profile. The frame members can be connected with corner keys configured to engage one or more openings in the first and second profiles. The sill jamb member can provide a sill slope angle.
