Sill systems for sliding fenestration units
Various aspects of the disclosure relate to modular sill systems for sliding panel doors and windows, collectively “sliding fenestration units.” In various examples, modular sill systems include multiple separate and distinct base components that provide tracks on which one or more panels are able to slide.
ROLLER ASSEMBLY
Disclosed herein is a roller assembly for a sliding panel, the roller assembly including at least one roller sub-assembly having at least one roller wheel, the roller sub-assembly comprising at least one pivotal arm and a roller wheel rotatably mounted to the arm, wherein one end of the arm is configured for pivotally attachment to the support to permit the arm and roller wheel to pivot relative to the support in a vertical plane and the opposite end of the arm has resilient suspension means configured to allow resilient pivotal movement of said opposite end relative to the support when a force is applied to the roller wheel.
Glass integrated fan assembly
A glass integrated fan assembly for enabling a closed sliding door to ventilate a structure includes a door module or window module, which comprises a frame and a glass pane. The glass pane is engaged to the frame. The frame is positionable in an opening in a structure and can engage the structure so that the glass pane closes the opening. The glass pane has an aperture positioned therein. A fan unit is positioned in the aperture and is engaged to the glass pane. The fan unit can be used to ventilate an interior space of the structure. A panel is slidably engaged to the glass pane. The panel is selectively slidable from an open configuration, wherein the panel is positioned adjacent to the aperture, to a closed configuration, wherein the panel closes the aperture.
WEATHERSTRIP CARRIER THAT REMOVABLY ATTACHES TO FENESTRATION UNIT
A weatherstrip carrier of a replaceable weatherstrip system for a fenestration unit includes a weatherstrip support configured to hold a weatherstrip. The weatherstrip carrier also includes a coupling member that is attached to the weatherstrip support. The coupling member is configured to removably attach to the fenestration unit. The coupling member includes a spine, a first projection, and a second projection. The first and second projections project from the spine in a common direction. The coupling member is resiliently flexible for movement between a neutral position and a flexed position. The first and second projections are biased toward each other when the weatherstrip carrier is in the flexed position. The second projection is configured to be removably received within the fenestration unit, with the weatherstrip carrier in the flexed position, and with the first and second projections cooperatively compressing against the fenestration unit to retain the weatherstrip carrier thereon.
MOBILE MODULAR DWELLING SYSTEM
A mobile modular dwelling system comprising a floor; a front semicircular sub-assembly secured to the floor, the front semicircular sub-assembly including a pane arrangement; and a rear polygonal sub-assembly also secured to the floor and to the front semicircular sub-assembly. In combination, the front and rear sub-assemblies provide a shelter in the face of prevailing wind and rain, regardless of the direction from which weather may originate, while offering an interior designer a wider latitude of furniture choices than does a semicircular footprint alone.
ADJUSTABLE FLUSH THRESHOLD FOR SLIDING DOORS AND WINDOWS
A sliding door or window system includes a track. The track includes an outer housing; an inner housing within the outer housing; a guide body provided with the inner housing and configured to guide a sliding movement of a door or a window; and at least one adjustable body that is provided on the outer housing, at least partially within the inner housing, and fixed with respect to the inner housing in a vertical direction, the at least one adjustable body configured to change a height of the inner housing with respect to the outer housing by rotating, such as to change a height of the guide body.
Sliding window/door system including annular roller device for sliding window/door
The present invention provides an annular roller device for a sliding window/door, which is proposed as a roller device having a new structure wherein the roller device installed under a door sash can move a sliding window/door having heavy weight, and can maximize the open glass portion of the window/door by minimizing the height of the space required to install the roller device, thereby providing a more open view. The roller device has a structure in which, even when a rail installed on a window frame is not horizontal or the bottom portion of a window is not completely flat, all multiple rolling members, which constitute a ring-shaped rolling unit wound around a load-bearing plate (1220) comprising segment bodies (1221, 1222) rotatably connected to each other by a pivot pin (1225) extending therethrough, form contact points with the rail or the bottom portion, and thus each of the rolling members is prevented from being loaded with excessive weight.
Slidable window construction
There is provided a kit of parts configurable for assembly within a window assembly, that defines a window opening, and includes a frame and a sash, wherein the sash is slidably mounted relative to the frame for slidable movement relative to the frame from a first position to a second position, wherein the kit comprises a frame member of the above-described frame, a sash member of the above-described sash; wherein: the frame member defines a retainer; and the frame, the retainer, and the sash are co-operatively configured such that, while the sash is disposed relative to the frame in the first position, the retainer is interfering with movement of the sash member in an inwardly direction, and while the sash is disposed relative to the frame in the second position, there is an absence of interference to movement of the sash member in the inwardly direction. There is also provided a window construction obtainable from assembly of at least the parts of the kit of parts.
Customizable window system for coastal weather protection
A window system for use in windows, sliding glass doors, skylights, casement windows and other openings in a building. The window system enables different windows of the same building to be individually customized for different impacts of coastal area weather and security concerns and also have the same external appearance despite employing various window protection steps. Panels, interior or exterior, are secured to the header and sill. Windows may be covered with exterior panels or include interior panels or impact resistant glass when the window is high on the building, or where security is a concern Windows including casement windows and other building penetrations may also accommodate interior panels, in combination with exterior protection. The window framing may have a uniform exterior appearance, notwithstanding different levels of protection.
FENESTRATION SYSTEM WITH ACTUATABLE SEALING DEVICE, AND RELATED DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
A fenestration system may comprise a closure element, such as a door or window. The closure element is movable relative to a frame between open and closed positions. The frame surrounds a fenestration opening, such as a doorway. The fenestration system may also comprise a carrier mounted to the closure element and movable relative to the closure element between extended and retracted positions. A weather strip is attached to the carrier and arranged to contact the frame in the extended position of the carrier. One or more retraction magnets may be arranged to exert a first magnetic force on the carrier to move the carrier into the retracted position in the open position of the closure element. One or more extension magnets may be arranged to exert a second magnetic force on the carrier to move the carrier into the extended position in the closed position of the closure element.
