20230003079 · 2023-01-05 ·

Window lite assemblies and methods for installing the assemblies are provided herein. The assemblies described herein are configured to be installed in new and existing buildings, especially in building corners, while leaving some or all of the horizontal structural members such as headers and sills in place.

Assembled door frame

An assembled door frame is provided, including multiple of side frames spliced together, where every adjacent two of the side frames spliced at right angle are connected via a corner connector assembly. The corner connector assembly is arranged inside the every adjacent two of the side frames spliced at right angle. The corner connector assembly includes a corner connector and fixing bolts, and one of the every adjacent two of side frames spliced at right angle is fixed on the corner connector by the fixing bolts. In the embodiments, the side frames are spliced directly together through the respective corner connector assemblies each including the corner connector and the fixing bolts. On one hand, the corner connector and the fixing bolts are each disposed within the corresponding side frame, such that the original external structure of the side frames will not be changed after the side frames are spliced together, thereby reducing assembly errors of the door frame caused by using the connecting structure. On the other hand, the direct splicing of the side frames is achieved merely by two types of members that are the corner connector and the fixing bolts. So compared with the prior art, a welding process of the side frames is not required, the structure thereof is simple, and the mounting thereof is convenient.

SILL CORNER BRACKETS FOR COASTAL IMPACT RESISTANT FENESTRATIONS

Embodiments herein relate to fenestrations exhibiting coastal impact performance. In an embodiment, a fenestration unit includes a frame assembly forming a first lower corner and a second lower corner. A first sill corner bracket can fit on a top of a sill and extend from the first lower corner partway along the top of the sill and partway along one side jamb of the frame assembly. A second sill corner bracket can be configured to fit on the top of the sill and extend from the second lower corner partway along the top of the sill and partway along the other side jamb. A bottom sash can include a bottom rail defining a channel to receive at least a portion of the first corner bracket and the second corner bracket therein when the bottom sash is in the closed position. Other embodiments are also included herein.

Systems and methods for providing a universal window frame assembly. A window frame assembly can include a plurality of frame members, wherein at least one of the frame members comprises a first profile frame member and at least one of the other frame members comprises a second profile frame member. The at least one first profile frame member and the at least one second profile frame member seat together to form the frame assembly. Head and side jamb members of a window frame can have a common first profile, and a sill jamb member can have a second profile. The frame members can be connected with corner keys configured to engage one or more openings in the first and second profiles. The sill jamb member can provide a sill slope angle.

Cornerlock for a Frame Assembly Including a Collar
20170265661 · 2017-09-21 ·

A cornerlock is used with a frame assembly which includes first and second frame members each having a plurality of walls extending between first and second ends. Each of the first and second frame members define an interior with the cornerlock extending into the interiors. An article is coupled to the first and second frame members. The cornerlock includes a first body member configured to mate with the interior of the first frame member and a second body member configured to mate with the interior of the second frame member. Each of the body members has a hinge end and are rotatably coupled together at the hinge ends. A collar defines a hole with at least one of the first and second body members extending through the hole such that the collar is disposed substantially at the hinge end for engaging each of the first and second frame members.

A modular glass door assembly includes a door, an inner frame, and an outer frame. The door has a glass door leaf and a doorframe mounted to the outer periphery of the glass door leaf. The inner frame is attached to the outer periphery of the doorframe and connected to the doorframe by two hinges up and down. The outer frame has four frame strips arranged around the outer periphery of the inner frame and each provided with a concave portion engaged with one respective convex portion of the inner frame. By this way, the inner frame and the outer frame can be directly assembled with each other or a fixed window panel can be added between the inner frame and the outer frame. Thus, the modular glass door assembly of the present invention has advantages of easy assembly and high scalability.

A polymer window assembly includes a polymer window frame with a pair of jambs and a sill, and a glass unit carried by the window frame. A pair of brackets are attached to the jambs proximate corners between the jambs and the sill. Each bracket has an upright member, a horizontal member orthogonal to the upright member and a hook attached to a rear surface of the upright member. The brackets attach to the jambs so that the hook extends through a hole in the jamb, the upright member is adjacent a surface of the jamb and the horizontal member is disposed above (e.g., spaced above) the sill. The brackets support and transfer the weight of the glass unit to the jambs to inhibit (e.g., prevent) the sill from bearing the load of the glass unit, thereby inhibiting (e.g., preventing) the crushing or bowing of the sill by the glass unit and thereby inhibiting (e.g., preventing) the formation of gaps in the window assembly that allow for air and/or water infiltration through the window assembly.
