09850700 · 2017-12-26 · ·

An exterior wall structure includes first to fourth waterproofing members. Each of the first to fourth waterproofing members includes a fixing portion, a positioning portion, a separating portion, a supporting portion, and first and second seal portions. The positioning portion extends continuously with the fixing portion toward the exterior side. The positioning portion positions an exterior wall material by coming into abutment with an end face of the exterior wall material. The separating portion extends continuously with the positioning portion toward the sash body side so as to be located between the sash body and the exterior wall material. The first seal portion inhibits the entry of water by coming into abutment with the exterior wall material. The second seal portion inhibits the entry of water by coming into abutment with the sash body.

An ADA compliant shielded door is disclosed. According to one aspect, a door is configured to create a radio frequency (RF) seal when the door is sealed so that RF energy is restricting from passing through a gap between an outer periphery of the door and a door frame when the door is sealed. The door includes: at least one knife edge along at least part of the outer periphery of the door, each knife edge configured to project into a channel of a door frame in a direction parallel to a face of the door when the door is sealed. The door also includes at least one contact element along a length of a knife edge, the at least one contact element being configured to make electrical contact with a channel wall of a channel of the door frame when the knife edge projects into the channel.

Flight actuated door seal

A sealing system for an aircraft having an opening and a door movable between an open condition spaced from the opening and a closed condition covering and sealing the opening includes a cover plate connected to the aircraft adjacent the opening. A first magnetic coupling secured to the cover plate includes a first plurality of magnets. A second magnetic coupling configured for securing to the door includes a second plurality of magnets. The first magnetic coupling is repelled by the second magnetic coupling when the couplings have a first degree of alignment with one another. This causes the cove plot move away from the door. The first magnetic coupling is attracted to the second magnetic coupling when the couplings have a second degree of alignment with one another greater than the first degree, causing the magnetic couplings to engage one another and seal the opening in the aircraft.

Drop-down seal and building part

The invention relates to a drop-down seal for a building part comprising a housing (1), a sealing strip (2, 3) that can be raised and lowered in said housing (1), and a spring-loaded lowering mechanism (8), which causes automatic lowering of the sealing strip (2, 3) when the building part is closed. The lowering mechanism (8) is connected to a slide (4, 6), which protrudes beyond the housing (1) at one end and which activates the lowering mechanism (8) when the building part is closed. The slide (4, 5) applies a tension to the lowering mechanism (8). The drop-down seal according to the invention enables a one-sided triggering in tension, wherein the seal has a space-saving design.

Drainage system for a window and the like

In an extruded window frame, engineered foam patches are attached to the window frame for delivery to the job site. In combination with a sealant bead that is applied at the job site to the perimeter of the nail fin on the window frame, the foam patches serve as weep holes. Moisture reaching the interior of the rough framed opening of the building after installation of the windows is channeled between the sealant bead and the inside of the window frame. The foam patches, applied as a spaced-apart pair to the inside surface of the nail fin are in physical contact with the sealant bead to receive channeled rainwater, which can flow by gravity to the bottom of the window frame and exit the window. The foam patches block entry of insects.

Door sealing systems for providing an RF seal to a door to an enclosure such as an anechoic chamber are disclosed. According to one aspect, a door sealing system includes a door having an outer periphery and a plurality of extendable and retractable knife edges along at least a portion of the outer periphery. The door sealing system includes a door frame having a plurality of channels corresponding to the plurality of knife edges, each knife edge projecting outward in a direction parallel to a face of the door and into the corresponding channels when the door is in a sealed position. Further, the door sealing system may include channels in the door frame along which knife edges of the door frame move.

FENESTRATION MEMBER SEALING SYSTEM

The system includes a gear mounted for rotation relative to the fenestration member. A mechanical linkage connects the latch control member and the gear such that the gear is rotated from a first position, where the latch is disengaged, to a second position as the latch is moved to engage the fenestration member frame. A rack in engagement with the gear is mounted to a first bar for linear movement in a given direction as the gear is rotated. A first triangular member moves with the rack. A second triangular member attached to a second bar cooperates with the first triangular member to move the second bar in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of rack movement. A gasket moves with the second bar to a position abutting the adjacent surface to automatically seal the member to the adjacent surface as the member is latched.

A threshold includes a substantially vertically upstanding nosing extending along a longitudinal axis of the threshold and a substantially vertically upstanding dam spaced from and substantially parallel to the upstanding nosing. A threshold cap is disposed at least partially across a gap between the upstanding nosing and the upstanding dam. A support, which supports the threshold cap, is located at least partially within the gap. The threshold cap is adjustable between at least a raised position and a lowered position. The threshold cap is biased toward the raised position when the door panel of the entryway is in an open position. The threshold cap pivots about a pivot axis parallel with the longitudinal axis. The pivot axis is not a central axis of the threshold cap.
