Hidden Insect Screen System for Double Hung, Tilt-to-Clean Windows
A hidden insect screen system for tilt-to-clean, double hung windows whereby raising the bottom sash (104) causes resultant opening to fill with insect screen (115a) dispensed from an ordinary self-storing roller mechanism (114) mounted inside bottom rail (109) of said sash and whereby lowering the upper sash (105) causes resultant opening to fill with insect screen (115b) dispensed from an ordinary self-storing roller mechanism (122) mounted inside window head frame (103), all furnished such that vertical edges of the screens are protected from insect passage by contacting weatherstrip-like edge seals (127), and arranged such that insect protection is maintained with minimal interruption when each sash is tilted and its glazing is cleaned, the lower end of the upper screen being attached so as to be quickly repositioned from top to bottom of said upper sash.
Aircraft door sealing system and aircraft door arrangement
An aircraft door sealing system comprises a resilient sealing element secured to an aircraft door arrangement first element and comprising a sealing lip extending from a sealing member. A rigid counter-bearing element is secured to an aircraft door arrangement second element and cooperates with the sealing element to seal a gap between the first and second elements. The counter-bearing element comprises a first portion cooperating with the sealing member and a second portion cooperating with the sealing lip. The sealing lip and the second portion are positioned relative to each other, and the sealing lip can be resiliently deformed, so that the sealing lip is applied to the second portion and a contact face between the sealing lip and the second portion is formed or increases, when an external pressure acting on an outer face of the sealing lip via the gap, exceeds a threshold value.
Adjustable corner pad and method of use
A sealing pad for sealing between a door and a surrounding doorjamb. The sealing pad is adjustably mounted to a bottom corner of the doorjamb and includes a base and at least three lobes formed on the base. The base has a tail extending from an inside edge of the base and extending away from an inner lobe of the three lobes. The tail is configured to fit into a channel in the bottom corner of the doorjamb. When installed, the sealing pad is adjustable by sliding along the doorjamb with the tail in the channel.
Sound damping door
A sound damping door system having a door frame, a compression seal, a door slab, a bottom seal, and a concealed hinge assembly. The door frame includes male and female components adapted to engage each other in a rough door opening between first and second wall faces; and at least one isolation gasket adapted to be disposed between the male and female components. The compression seal is mounted to the door frame. The door slab includes an outer skin; an arched constrainment sheet inside the outer skin; a damping fill material inside the outer skin; and an acoustic insert inside the outer skin. The bottom seal is mounted to a bottom surface of the door slab such that the bottom seal is permitted to move relative to the door slab.
DOOR FRAME AND THRESHOLD ASSEMBLY
A door frame and threshold assembly, comprising a reservoir tube, including a first top surface comprising at least one inlet weep hole, a first rear surface, a first bottom surface, and a first front surface comprising at least one outlet weep hole, an interior sill portion, including a second top surface, a third top angled elevationally downward in a first direction, an exterior sill portion, including a fourth top surface angled elevationally downward in the first direction, a second rear surface engaged with the reservoir tube and spaced apart from the interior sill portion, and a third bottom surface, and a sill pan operatively arranged under and spaced apart from at least one of the first bottom surface and the third bottom surface, wherein the sill pan forms a conduit in fluid communication with the outlet weep hole.
BENDABLE SEALING PROFILE
A bendable sealing profile for arrangement on a door system, in particular on a frame element and/or on a leaf element, has, in the cross-section, a first profile part, a second profile part and a joint, by which the profile parts are connected so as to be movable in relation to one another. The sealing profile has a latching device, by which the profile parts can be latched to one another when the profile parts are transferred from an intermediate position, in particular from an angled arrangement in relation to one another, to a mounting position, in particular to a straight arrangement in relation to one another.
Window/shutter/door for outdoor settings
Window for outdoor settings, which comprises a movable wing provided with a first support frame hinged to a second support frame of a fixed framework by means of a hinging system, so that, when the movable wing is closed, the two frames define two opposite perimeter faces delimiting a slit. The window comprise a first perimeter gasket fixed to one of the two opposite perimeter faces, acting against the other perimeter face, and placed at an internal opening of the slit in order to conceal from view the hinging system of the window. The window further comprises a second perimeter gasket fixed to one of the two opposite perimeter faces, acting against the other perimeter face, and placed at an intermediate position between the internal opening and an external opening of the slit.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A MICRO-CELLULAR FOAM WEATHER SEAL
A weather seal includes an elongated micro-cellular foam bulb, and an elongated micro-cellular foam fin element attached to an extending along the length of the foam bulb. The fin elements includes a spine having opposed planar surfaces and at least one microcellular foam barb extending outwardly and at a downward angle from each surface and along the length of the spine. As an alternative to barbs, another option is to use a higher durometer foamed thermoplastic elastomer in a hollow circle shape that would push into a retention pocket. A t-slot version that has a foamed bulb and a polypropylene base is another option.
DOOR SYSTEMS
A door sill has a substrate having a recessed upward open channel formed therein, an extruded aluminum deck that at least partially receives the substrate, at least one threshold cap, an interior face cap that covers a portion of the substrate, and a lock key. A first portion of the threshold cap is coupled to the extruded aluminum deck. A second portion of the threshold cap is positioned in the recessed upward open channel adjacent a portion of the interior face cap. A portion of the lock key is press fitted intermediate the second portion of the threshold cap and the portion of the interior face cap. A seal is formed between the second portion of the threshold cap and the interior face cap. The seal is positioned proximate the inside wall of the upward open channel formed in the substrate above the bottom surface of the upward open channel.
MAGNETICALLY ACTUATED DOOR SEAL
An automatic door seal is provided for sealing the gap between the lower edge of a door and a threshold. The seal is magnetically actuated so as to move downward into sealing engagement with the threshold when the door is closed and raises out of engagement when the door is opened. A transmission assembly converts horizontal movement from the magnetic force into vertical movement for the seal. Springs provide a reset force when the magnetic force is eliminated so as to retract the seal strip whenever the door is moved from the closed position.
