Ladder safely mechanisms
A ladder safety mechanism comprises at least one clamp, preferably a pair of spaced apart clamps, attachable part way along a ladder, to secure the ladder to part of a structure. In some embodiments, the mechanism includes at least one manually operated actuator, such as a rope or cable, coupled to the at least one clamp to enable a user located at the bottom of the ladder to open the at least one clamp to receive the part of a structure. In some embodiments, the at least one clamp is automatically secured to the part of the structure by placing the clamp onto the structure. The at least one manually operated actuator also enables a user located at the bottom of the ladder to open the at least one clamp to release the part of the structure. The at least one clamp is oriented substantially perpendicularly to a part of the structure to which the ladder is to be attached.

A climbing product whose sections are extendable having a base section and a fly section. The fly section in sliding engagement with the base section. The climbing product having a lock assembly having a lock fly portion directly attached to the fly section. The lock fly portion directly engages with the base section to lock the base section with the fly section. The lock fly portion disengages from the lock base portion by simply moving the fly section relative to the base section to unlock the fly section from the base section. Multi-Position Ladder, Method of Using and Method of Making a Multi-Position Ladder
A multi-function ladder having a front section having a first front rail and a second front rail and rungs attached to and between the first front rail and the second front rail. The ladder having a rear section having a first rear rail and a second rear rail and rungs attached to and between the first rear rail and the second rear rail. The rear section having a telescoping section attached to the first rear rail and the second rear rail to vary a length of the rear section. The ladder having a first hinge attached to the first front rail and the first rear rail. The ladder having a second hinge attached to the second front rail and the second rear rail. Each hinge having a locked state and an unlocked state. The ladder having an actuator directly attached to the front section and remote and separate and apart from the first hinge and the second hinge. The actuator when actuated moving the first and second hinges between the locked state and the unlocked state. When the first and second hinges are in the unlocked state, the rear section can be moved between a leaning ladder mode, a step ladder mode, a stairway ladder mode and a straight ladder mode upon which each hinge goes into the locked state in the desired ladder mode.
