A modular ladder system includes a first ladder module comprising a first plurality of ladder steps; a second ladder module comprising a second plurality of ladder steps; and a ladder base, the modular ladder system is configurable in an unassembled configuration and an assembled configuration; wherein: in the unassembled configuration, the first ladder module is detached from the second ladder module and the first and second ladder modules are stacked on the ladder base; and in the assembled configuration, the first ladder module is coupled to the ladder base and the second ladder module is attached to the first ladder module opposite the ladder base to define a ladder extending upward from the ladder base.

Foldable balcony balustrade-combined fire/disaster evacuation facility

The present invention relates to a facility comprising: a fixed frame fixedly installed on an outer wall of a veranda or a balcony of a high-rise building; a foldable evacuation box which can be unfolded in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped having an open top side and has and evacuation door on a side thereof; a fall prevention and evacuation means which can be structurally changed to an emergency stairway for fire evacuation; an evacuation box locking means which allows the foldable evacuation box to be unfolded in a rectangular parallelepiped form; a locking means which holds and fixes the fall prevention and evacuation means to the fixed frame; and an entry prevention door which prevents an evacuee from entering inside a veranda or a balcony from the foldable evacuation box through the fixed frame.

Telescoping step ladder safety hand rails and beam
11525304 · 2022-12-13 ·

A telescoping safety hand rail and beam for step ladders. The invention consists of two upright telescopic rails and a telescopic horizontal beam and tray. The tray includes a container, various pass-through openings for holding tools, a paint can hook and a pass through orifice to accept the horizontal beams to allow telescopic movement. The inner rails extend upwards from the fixed outer rails and latch in place at the top and middle of the telescoping travel range. This advantageously allows the utilization of all steps of a ladder by providing a supplemental knee brace and eliminates the dangerous opportunity to stand unbraced on any step of a ladder. The invention is mounted to a step ladder with strategically placed brackets and double sided mounting tape.

LADDER ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING THE SAME

A ladder assembly includes a mounting plate and a ladder rotatably connected to the mounting plate. The mounting plate includes a body that includes a first surface having a first orientation and a second surface having a second, different orientation, and the mounting plate includes spaced apart brackets attached to the first surface. The ladder includes first and second legs, steps, and a handrail. Each leg extends from a first end to a second end, is rotatably connected to one of the brackets at the first end, and has opposing side surfaces and opposing front and back surfaces. The steps are supported transversely between the legs. The handrail is attached to the front surface of the first leg. The ladder is rotatable between a first position and a second position. The back surface of each leg abuts the second surface of the mounting plate body in the first position.

DEPLOYABLE SHELTER STAIRS

The present application relates to deployable shelter stairs. The deployable shelter stairs may include stringers and a plurality of treads extending between the stringers. Each tread may be integrally formed from plastic by way of injection molding with no sharp edges such that the treads are more lightweight than metal.

Mobile storage system with elevated platform

A movable storage assembly has first and second mobile storage units that are selectively movable towards and away from one another and are equipped with a deployable and retractable (or installable and removable) platform to facilitate access to upper regions of the storage units. The platform is movably coupled to one of the mobile storage units and can be repositioned between a deployed or installed position in which the platform interlocks the first storage unit to the second storage forming an elevated walking or standing surface therebetween, and a retracted or removed position in which the platform is partially disconnected to allow the first mobile storage unit to move independently and into close proximity with the second mobile storage unit.

MOBILE STORAGE SYSTEM WITH ELEVATED PLATFORM

A movable storage assembly includes a pair of upright frame pieces joined together by a lateral rail. The rail's opposite ends each include a T-shaped upper tab having upward and downward extending portions, and a lower tab with downwardly extending portion. The upper and lower tabs are simultaneously insertable into upper and lower openings along the uprights, and then lowerable so that the downward portions of the upper and lower tabs secure the rail to the uprights. Upward movement of the rail causes the upward portions of the upper tabs of engage the uprights above the upper openings, preventing removal of the upper tabs from the uprights. Optionally, part of a platform is supportable at the rail and cooperates with the upper tabs to prevent removal of the lateral rail from the uprights, even if the downwardly extending portions of the tabs are disengaged from the uprights.

Safety Stair Device

The present invention relates to a novel safety stair device that is designed to safely and easily allow a user to enter and exit a storm shelter. The device comprises a set of stairs that are secured against the rungs of the storm shelter ladder. The set of stairs comprise indentations at the back of the stairs, such that the set of stairs can be slid over the existing ladder rungs via the indentations, securing the set of stairs in place. The set of stairs are also padded to allow users to slide down the stairs without developing abrasions, scrapes, etc. Thus, users with low mobility can safely utilize the device to enter and exit a storm shelter.

VERTICALLY ORIENTATED LADDER APPARATUS FOR ALLOWING A CLIMBER TO ADOPT AN IMPROVED CLIMBING STANCE IN USE
20170342772 · 2017-11-30 ·

A vertically orientated ladder apparatus allowing a climber to adopt an improved climbing stance wherein the climber's arms are poised economically in front of the climber within the climbing passage; the climber's legs are spread for the lateral stability of the climber so as to reduce the tendency of the climber falling sideways; and the climber is substantially upright such that the climber's centre of gravity lies substantially between the opposing steps (11) so as to allow the climber to release the climber's grip on the hand rails (14) while remaining balanced and supported by the legs of the climber. Opposing steps (11) are level or staggered. Embodiments include three or four stiles (12, 15).
