The system includes a box end having a recess configured to receive the pin end, a face of the box end abutting the flange. The system includes a coupling assembly joining the first pipe segment to the second pipe segment including a split ring arranged proximate the flange and a sleeve, wherein threads of the sleeve engage first mating threads on the split ring and second mating threads on the box end.

The frame includes a second alignment feature configured to mate with the first alignment feature such that the lower coupling is aligned with the second conduit, and the first alignment feature is configured to slide vertically with respect to the second alignment feature such that the lower coupling is brought into engagement with the second conduit while the first and second alignment features are mated together.

Blowout preventers having bodies without flanged necks are provided. In one embodiment, a blowout preventer stack includes first and second blowout preventers having independent and separable main bodies, each including a bore and a ram cavity transverse to the bore. The lower end of the main body of the first blowout preventer is fastened directly to an upper end of the main body of the second blowout preventer without a flanged neck extending the bore between the ram cavities of the first and second blowout preventers. In some instances, the main bodies of the first and second blowout preventers include external connection flanges that extend laterally from ram cavity body portions of the main bodies so as to enable connection of the two main bodies along the sides of the main bodies away from their bores. Systems and methods for riser monitoring and lifecycle management are disclosed. The riser monitoring and lifecycle management method includes receiving a signal indicative of an identification of a riser component at a monitoring and lifecycle management system (MLMS), wherein the riser component forms part of a riser assembly. The method also includes detecting one or more properties via at least one sensor disposed on the riser component during operation of the riser assembly, and communicating data indicative of the detected properties to the MLMS. The MLMS stores the data indicative of the detected properties with the identification of the riser component in a database.
