WEAR BUSHING RETRIEVING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system includes a wear bushing retrieval tool. The wear bushing retrieval tool an annular main body configured to be disposed about a tubular string, a plurality of locking dogs, wherein each locking dog of the plurality of locking dogs is pivotably coupled to the annular main body, a first axial securement feature coupled to the annular main body, and a second axial securement feature coupled to the main body, wherein the first and second axial securement features are configured to cooperatively axially capture a coupling of the tubular string when the annular main body is disposed about the tubular string.
COATED FLUID HANDLING COMPONENTS AND METHODS FOR PROTECTING AND EXTENDING THE SERVICE LIFE OF FLUID HANDLING COMPONENTS
Coating compositions for coating fluid handling components, and related methods, may include in some aspects a coating composition having a trifunctional silane, a silanol, and a filler. The coating composition may be applied to a surface of a fluid handling component that is configured to be exposed to a fluid. The coating composition may be applied to at least partially cover or coat the surface. The coating composition may be configured to chemically bond with a cured primer composition that includes an epoxy.
LINEABLE TUBULAR
A lineable tubular for use in subterranean exploration and production, such as oil, gas, and geothermal wells. The tubular may be part of a downhole tool string, including drill pipe and related downhole tools that may be found in the bottom hole assembly. The tubular may comprise a modified interior surface along its bore wall. The modified surface may comprise hard particles, rifling, threads, ridges and grooves, sand and ceramic grit, and knurling. The modified surface may aid in securing a liner within the tubular. The tubular may include connectable ends with box and pin end tool joints. The tool joints may be attached to an upset end of the tubular. The modified surface may run the length of the tubular or it may be restricted to the upset ends of the tubular and the respective tool joints. The tubular may comprise a seal gland within the tool joints.
Methods of conducting coiled tubing operations
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods of coating a coiled tubing string, methods of conducting tubing operations using a coated tubing string, and associated apparatus thereof. In one implementation, a method of conducting a coiled tubing operation, includes forming a tubing string. The tubing string has a central annulus, an inner surface, and an outer surface, and the tubing string is formed from a metallic material. The method also includes coiling the tubing string onto a spool, and moving a coating into the central annulus. The method also includes curing the coating onto the inner surface of the tubing string to form a layer of the coating on the inner surface of the tubing string.
COATED OILFIELD OPERATIONAL COMPONENTS AND METHODS FOR PROTECTING AND EXTENDING THE SERVICE LIFE OF OILFIELD OPERATIONAL COMPONENTS
Coating compositions for coating an oilfield operational component, and related methods, may include in some aspects a coating composition having a trifunctional silane, a silanol, and a filler. The coating composition may be applied to a surface of the oilfield operational component that is configured to be exposed to a fluid. The coating composition may be applied to at least partially cover or coat the surface. The coating composition may be configured to chemically bond with a cured primer composition that includes an epoxy.
Modular bowl protector
A method of using a bowl protector assembly includes lowering the bowl protector assembly with a running and retrieving tool into a wellhead located at a surface of a well, whereby a removable upper module of the bowl protector assembly is damaged, wherein the bowl protector assembly comprises the removable upper module and a lower module and the removable upper module comprises tool engagement features to pair with the running and retrieving tool. The method further includes raising the bowl protector assembly out of the wellhead and replacing the damaged removable upper module with an undamaged removable upper module. The method further includes lowering the bowl protector assembly comprising the undamaged removable upper module with the running and retrieving tool into the wellhead and placing the bowl protector assembly on a load shoulder within the wellhead.
NON-ROTATING DRILL PIPE PROTECTOR TOOL HAVING MULTIPLE TYPES OF HYDRAULIC BEARINGS
A non-rotating drill pipe protector comprising a collar for attachment to a drill pipe and a sleeve positioned around the collar wherein drilling fluid passing between flexible bearing surfaces between the collar and the sleeve generate hydrodynamic bearings in both an axial and thrust direction of the drill pipe.
TUBING HEAD SPOOL WITH ADAPTER BUSHING
Apparatus and methods provide for a tubing head spool that may be disposed in a wellhead during drilling or other wellbore operations, after which a tubing hanger adapter may be disposed within the tubing head spool for hanging tubing. Methods include installing a tubing head spool onto a wellhead, installing a blow out preventer onto the tubing head spool, drilling a well by running downhole tools and at least one casing string through the tubing head spool, running a tubing hanger adapter bushing through the blow out preventer and into the tubing head spool, running a tubing string into the well, and landing out the tubing string using a tubing hanger configured to hang within the tubing hanger adapter bushing.
METHODS FOR PROVIDING FLEXIBLE AND/OR ELASTIC COATINGS ON OILFIELD OPERATIONAL COMPONENTS
Production risers having rigid inserts and systems and methods for using
An apparatus enables modifying a riser's operating parameters for transporting production fluids from a subsea well to an offshore production facility after an initial period of production to address changes over time in the conditions of the reservoir and/or the riser without removing the original riser. An insert riser having a smaller diameter is inserted into the riser after the initial period. The original riser has a recessed seal face for receiving seal element(s) and a recessed lock groove for receiving a locking ring. An intervention coiled tubing having a sleeve removal tool is inserted into the riser to engage a protective sleeve covering the recessed seal face. The tubing is pulled to the floating structure thereby removing the protective sleeve and the temporary retaining ring from the production riser, exposing the recessed seal face. The insert riser can then be inserted into the riser and locked into place.
