Cable Protector Clamp Assembly
A cable protector clamp assembly that includes a clamp body configured to hold and align a cable along a pipe, the clamp body including a cable holder; and a stop collar configured to fix a position of the clamp body adjacent to a radially protruding element around the pipe and to prevent the clamp body from rotating around the pipe.
WIRELINE CASED-HOLE STANDOFF
The present invention relates to a wireline cased-hole standoff (WCSO) for installation on a wireline cable of a wellbore logging tool. In embodiments, WCSO may be capable of significantly reducing wireline cable drag in a cased-hole section of a well or wellbore as well as reduce logging tensions and improve force transmission from wellbore surface to logging tool cable head during wireline logging operations. In one embodiment, WCSO comprises two cable insert halves, two opposing WCSO body halves (an upper body and a lower body), and two outer shells (an upper low-friction shell and a lower low-friction shell). Such components may be fastened together onto the wireline cable using screws, bolts, dowel pins, spigots, or any combinations thereof.
CONTROL LINE CLAMP
A control line clamp comprising a clamping element for retaining one or more control lines alongside a pipe; a first collar; and a second collar, wherein the clamping element is arranged to be attached to the pipe by positioning the first and second collars around the pipe on opposing sides of the clamping element and moving the first and second collars relatively towards each other in an axial direction.
Method and apparatus for protection of control lines and other equipment
A protective member at least partially surrounds a desired length of pipe (such as a conventional landing string) and protects “umbilical” control line(s) or bundles, including pipe and umbilical line(s) installed within risers of subsea installations. At least one robust protective shell member is installed around at least a portion of a pipe string and forms at least one elongated channel. At least one umbilical control line is disposed within the elongated channel and is shielded against damage from inadvertent or unwanted abrasion, impact or other forces.
METHOD FOR ATTACHING A CONTROL LINE CLAMP
A control line clamp includes a clamping element for retaining one or more control lines alongside a pipe; a first collar; and a second collar. The clamping element is arranged to be attached to the pipe by positioning the first and second collars around the pipe on opposing sides of the clamping element and moving the first and second collars relatively towards each other in an axial direction.
DEVICE FOR A STEEL TUBE FOR USE IN A TUBULAR HYDROCARBON COLUMN
A device for a steel tube designed to be secured on a portion of the tube used in a tubular hydrocarbon column includes a substantially cylindrical envelope extending along a longitudinal axis and designed to surround the box portion of the first steel tube and the envelope forming an opened ring so that a circumferential gap subsists between two free ends of the envelope; and a locking mechanism fixed to the envelope in the vicinity of the circumferential gap and configured to bring the free ends of the envelope closer to each other in a locked position.
Extensible Transition Joint For Control Line Protection
Systems and methods of the present disclosure relate to protecting a control line as it passes through a junction in a downhole environment. An ETJ deployment tool (ETJDT) comprises a tool body comprising a central bore; at least one first component and at least one second component, each component operable to extend and retract laterally from the tool body, wherein the at least one second component is disposed at an axial distance from the at least one first component along the tool body; a member disposed within the central bore and operable to move forward upon receiving fluid; and a spring disposed axially between a portion of the member and the at least one second component.
CONNECTION PROTECTOR WITH A FLEXIBLE GASKET FOR A TUBULAR COMPONENT
A protector for a connection for a tubular component for drilling or operating hydrocarbon wells, provided with a distal end surface, the protector comprising an annular housing comprising a bottom, two lateral walls, outer and inner, separated from each other and in which an annular gasket is disposed, each lateral wall comprising a bottom lateral wall portion and an exterior lateral wall portion and an upper face, the two exterior lateral wall portions defining an opening with width A.sub.u and characterized in that a distance A between two bottom lateral wall portions is greater than the width A.sub.u, in a manner such as to allow a first annular gasket to be positioned then to allow said annular gasket to be retained in the annular housing.
PISTON ASSEMBLY TO REDUCE ANNULAR PRESSURE BUILDUP
A system for preventing annular pressure buildup comprising: a wellbore; two or more annuli located within the wellbore; a piston assembly located adjacent to a wellhead of the wellbore; and a pipe system that connects the two or more annuli in parallel to the piston assembly, wherein when the amount of pressure in the pipe system exceeds a predetermined amount, then a piston of the piston assembly moves whereby the movement reduces the amount of pressure in the two or more annuli.
Downhole protection apparatus
A downhole protection apparatus, for use in protecting downhole control lines, comprises a sheath defining a channel configured to receive a control line. The sheath is configured to be attached to a tubing. In wellbore applications, the control lines associated with a tubing are inserted into the sheath such that the body of the sheath at least partially encompasses the control line and shields the control line from harsh downhole conditions which may include abrasive action from sand, proppants, wellbore cuttings and other debris. Therefore, the apparatus is configured such that after insertion of a control line into the channel, a body of the sheath protects the control line from an outside environment.
