SUCKER ROD GUIDE
A sucker rod guide for use in a well production tubing, the sucker rod guide comprising: (a) a sleeve member, including a first material having a first wear characteristic and including: (i) a passage therethrough for a sucker rod; and (ii) an outer surface; and (b) a wear member overlaying the sleeve member and including a second material having a second wear characteristic, the wear member being fixed in position relative to the sleeve member and including: (i) an inner surface; and (ii) an outer surface defining a flow path for a fluid, when in use, between the sucker rod guide and the well production tubing.
ROD ROTATOR ASSEMBLY FOR WELL PUMPING ROD STRINGS
A mechanical rod rotator assembly comprising a mechanical rod rotator and an actuating mechanism for a mechanical pumping rod rotator, wherein the mechanism comprises a connecting arm and a guide member that slidably embraces the pumping rod, in order to allow a pivoting lever that is in connection with said connecting arm, to interact with the internal mechanism of the rod rotator to gradually rotate the pumping rod and thus avoid impartial wear caused by the constant up and down reciprocating movement of the same within the well, being in turn that the mechanism of the invention does not require special tools for its assembly and installation.
Sucker rod cleaning using inductive heating
A sucker rod cleaning system includes an inductive heating device, a feed mechanism, a first support and a second support. An electromagnet of the inductive heating device includes a wire coil head that is configured to inductively heat a sucker rod positioned within a heating zone. The feed mechanism is configured to feed a sucker rod through the heating zone in a feed direction. The first support is positioned on an upstream side of the wire coil head, and is configured to support a portion of a sucker rod as it is fed through the heating zone by the feed mechanism. The second support is positioned on a downstream side of the wire coil head, and is configured to support a portion of a sucker rod as it is fed through the heating zone by the feed mechanism.
SYSTEM, APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR MAINTAINING A POLISHING ROD
An anchor preserves the seal on an oscillating polishing rod in a pumpjack. The anchor has first and second sidewalls. The sidewalls are joined and oriented in opposite directions to create a cylindrical sidewall for the anchor. The cylindrical sidewall extends about a longitudinal axis and is coupled to a radial hinge that is substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis. The radial hinge couples the first sidewall relative to the second sidewall and facilitates the opening and closing of the cylindrical sidewall to create a clamping area in the locked position. A transverse hinge extends in an orthogonal direction relative to the radial hinge. The transverse hinge supports a rotating shaft on the exterior surface of the sidewall. A clasp on the opposite end of the shaft selectively and optionally locks the first sidewall relative to the second sidewall to create the clamping area of the anchor.
SUCKER ROD CLEANING USING INDUCTIVE HEATING
A sucker rod cleaning system includes an inductive heating device, a feed mechanism, a first support and a second support. An electromagnet of inductive heating device includes a wire coil head that is configured to inductively heat a sucker rod positioned within a heating zone. The feed mechanism is configured to feed a sucker rod through the heating zone in a feed direction. The first support is positioned on an upstream side of the wire coil head, and is configured to support a portion of a sucker rod as it is fed through the heating zone by the teed mechanism, The second support is positioned on a downstream side of the wire coil head, and is configured to support a portion of a sucker rod as it is fed through the heating zone by the feed mechanism.
Sucker rod couplings and tool joints with polycrystalline diamond elements
The present disclosure includes sucker rod strings, pipe protectors, and tool joints having polycrystalline diamond elements positioned thereon to interface engagement with other surfaces in downhole applications. The polycrystalline diamond elements can be positioned on sucker rod guides, sucker rod couplers, pipe protectors, and tool joints.
Sucker Rod Shear Couplers
A shear coupler provides a breakable connection between adjacent members of a pump rod string. The coupler features an elongated shear stud, a hollow member in which the shear stud is axially received, a first set of rotational locking features externally defined on the shear member for engagement with a first set of matable rotational locking features internally defined on the hollow member; and a second set of rotational locking features externally defined on the shear member for engagement thereof with a second set of matable rotational locking features internally defined on the hollow member. The first and second sets of rotational locking features of the shear member are disposed on opposite sides of a weakened area thereof, and tensile and torsional loads on the coupler are substantially isolated from one another. Methods and equipment for applying torsional and tensile pre-loads to the coupler are also provided.
DOWNHOLE OCCLUDER, PRESSURIZED SUCKER ROD AND OPERATION TECHNIQUE TO REPAIR OIL PIPES
This invention discloses a downhole occluder for oil wells. A sealing socket and a positioning flange with sealing surfaces are set up inside an oil pipe. An oil sucker rod pump is installed inside the tubular column which mounts on top of the sealing socket. A sealing surface of a sealing flange on the rod pump mounts with a sealing surface of the sealing socket on the tubular column. Outer oil inlet borings are placed at the wall of oil tubular column underneath the positioning flange. An inner pipe is installed inside this section of tubular column. Place inner oil inlet borings on the inner pipe wall corresponding to outer oil inlet borings on the tubular column. Sealing grooves are placed underneath the inner oil inlet borings on the inner pipe wall. Sealing rings are placed in the sealing grooves to seal the inner wall of tubular column. Top of inner pipe is connected to oil sucker rod pump through connecting coupler. Bottom end of tubular column is occluded. The structure of this invention is simple, reasonable and reliable to perform the well maintenance works of pressurized sucker rod and oil pipe. It brings the convenience to repeatedly occlude the pressure under the well to result in a safe, highly efficient, environmental and energy saving production.
Stabilizer for inhibiting sucker rod buckling during compression moments in artificial lift wells
A helical solid profile attached and originating from the outer diameter of a composite or steel sucker rod and extending approximately to the inner diameter of the production tubing, running axially along the sucker rod body and affixed to it for reinforcement and stabilization of the sucker rod tension member body in axial alignment to the central axis of the production tubing which the sucker rod member is housed in, whereas the helical solid profile is made of material which is for acceptable use within the production system environment, the helical solid profile purpose being to control and reduce the sucker rod's deflection during compressive moments, extending the life of the sucker rod or reduction in stress and erratic buckling cycles.
Roller device
A roller device for incorporation into a wireline tool string for use in an oil or gas well has a body with rollers comprising captive bearings arranged on the outer surface of the body to rotate around more than one axis relative to the body, and wherein the rollers are arranged in at least one or more helix around the body. Each helix completes at least one full circumferential turn around the body. The rollers circumferentially overlap one another on the body, so that when the body engages the inner wall of the wellbore, the entire circumference of the body is supported by at least one roller.
