This invention relates generally to geotechnical rig systems and methods. In one embodiment, a cone penetration testing system includes, but is not limited to, a frame; at least one rotatable reel; at least one movable roller; and at least one sensor, wherein the at least one movable roller is configured to adjust a bend radius of at least one tube coiled about the at least one rotatable reel based at least partly on data received from the at least one sensor.

This invention relates generally to geotechnical rig systems and methods. PIPE STORAGE AND HANDLING
A system for storing and handling pipes between a pipe rack and a derrick includes pipe-receiving chambers that are positioned around a centre region, and an elevator for lifting and descending the pipes into the chambers. The elevator, located in the centre region in between the receiving chambers, is configured for selecting one of the receiving chambers and for lifting and descending a respective pipe into the selected chamber.
System and method for disassembling drill assemblies
A system for disassembling a drill assembly including a drill bit and one or more columns interlinked with each other. The system includes a first clamping mechanism adapted to engage one of the drill bit or a first column, and a second clamping mechanism adapted to engage a second column disposed successively to the drill bit or the first column. The second clamping mechanism is turned relative to the first clamping mechanism to at least partially delink the second column from the first column or the drill bit. The system further includes a first actuator adapted to move one of the first clamping mechanism or the second clamping mechanism relative to the other to define a gap therebetween to reveal an interface between the second column and the drill bit or the first column for delinking the second column relative to the drill bit or the first column.
System for drill bit change in a drilling rig, drilling rig comprising such a system, and a method for changing drill bits using such a system
A drilling rig includes an interchangeable plurality of drill pipes, wherein drill bits are arranged at an end section of an end drill pipe. The drill bit being attached to the end section by means of a threaded connection and torque being provided to the drill bit by means of a splines coupling. The drilling rig comprises a lower support device and a breaker device. The system includes a drill bit storage device arranged to hold a plurality of drill bits, a gripping arm for selective gripping of a drill bit. The gripping arm may further comprise a movement sensor, arranged to monitor movement of the gripping arm, and the system may further comprise a control unit. The control unit being arranged to receive input from the sensors and the drilling rig, and to control movement of the gripping arm, the gripping means, the drill bit storage device, and the breaker device of the drilling rig.
PIPE DEPLOYMENT TRAILER
A trailer is provided having a trailer base and a trailer bed mounted to the trailer base. The trailer includes at least one actuator coupled to the trailer bed and the trailer base that raises and lowers the trailer bed. When the at least one actuator is extended, the trailer bed is raised to a vertical orientation. When the at least one actuator is retracted, the trailer bed is in the horizontal orientation. The trailer includes a lifting head protruding outwardly from the trailer bed. The position of the lifting head is adjustable along a longitudinal axis of the trailer bed.
BIT CHANGE MECHANISM FOR A DRILL RIG
A bit changer assembly includes a bit basket actuator assembly configured to be coupled to a drill rig. The bit basket actuator assembly includes an actuator, a guiderail, and a bit basket that is movably coupled to the guiderail via actuation of the actuator. The bit changer assembly also includes a bit carousel configured to be coupled to the drill rig, such that the bit carousel is rotatably and vertically moveable relative to the drill rig.
STORAGE ARRANGEMENT FOR WELL OPERATIONS
A storage system for storing elongate tubulars includes a base with a drive and a setback area for a vertical support of the elongate tubulars, an elongate column mounted on the base, and a first fingerboard assembly arranged on the elongate column. The base rotates about a vertical axis via the drive. The first fingerboard assembly includes at least one fingerboard. Each of the at least one fingerboard includes a plurality of storage slots arranged in a parallel, side-by-side configuration. Each of the plurality of storage slots receives a plurality of the elongate tubulars.

A support device for the rotation of a high-capacity and compact drill pipe storage unit of a seabed drilling rig in a lying state, including: a rack, a plurality of curved support frames, a plurality of lateral drill pipe stoppers and a plurality of annular fences. The curved support frames are provided parallelly and coaxially on a slideway of the rack. A separating plate is provided on each of the curved support frames. A curved support surface of each of the curved support frames is in contact with a circular edge surface of the corresponding separating plate. The annular fences are mounted on the rack. Each of the annular fences is provided with a first gap and a second gap. The first gap is provided corresponding to the lateral drill pipe stopper. The second gap is configured to allow the drill pipes enter and exit the drill pipe storage unit.

In one embodiment, a rig for sampling, includes, but is not limited to, a frame configured to deploy a drill string; at least one docking base disposed on the frame; at least one carousel with one or more addressed slots to stow one or more components, the at least one carousel being releasably coupled to the at least one docking base; and at least one arm that is configured to controllably retrieve and/or position the one or more components.
