Vacuum device and vacuum assisted digger system
An improved vacuum device for use with a vacuum assisted post hole digger tool. The improved vacuum device includes two suction providing motors with their suction outlets connected in a parallel fashion directly to a filter box. The dual motor configuration provides significantly improved suction power over existing vacuum devices but is still able to be powered on household 120V AC power. The improved vacuum device is paired with a post hole digger apparatus which includes an elongated hollow tubular tool for transmitting vacuum to the base end of the tube. The base end of the tube further comprises a variety bore heads for breaking up soil. A variety of devices for breaking up soil or removing clogs around the bore head are included: a thrasher bar, a hammer bar and an unclogger bar. Each of these devices are designed to be activated either manually by the user by application of force at the upper end of the tool or by application of rotary force by a motor disposed at the top of the housing.
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for real-time characterization of rock cuttings during rock drill cutting
A system, method, and apparatus for real-time characterization of drilled particles during a drilling operation can be comprised of a light illumination source to output short-wave-infrared (SWIR) light toward the drilled particles as the drilled particles exit a drill hole being drilled by a drilling machine; a sensor to sense reflected short-wave-infrared (SWIR) light reflected from the drilled particles exiting the drill hole; and processing circuitry operatively coupled to at least the sensor. The processing circuitry can be configured to determine a spectrum of the reflected short-wave-infrared light sensed by the sensor, and determine particle characterization for a portion of the drilled particles by performing hyperspectral analysis on the determined spectrum and based on predetermined candidate particle characterizations.

Rotary drilling tool and method for producing a bore in the ground
The invention relates to a drilling tool and a method for producing a bore in the ground, in which method ground material is carried away by a removal device on the underside of a main body of the drilling tool, flushing air is supplied by a feeding device into the bore, which is filled with drilling fluid, in the area of the removal device and ground material carried away by means of the flushing air is transported away through a discharge line. According to the invention, the ground material is transported to a receiving area in an upper section of the main body. A collecting hood is provided above the receiving area, which closes off the receiving area at the top, forming an air collecting space in which air collects. An outlet valve by means of which air is discharged from the air collecting space is arranged on the collecting hood.
Mine drill, dust suction hood and dust removal device thereof
A dust suction hood includes a tapered outer cover, a cylindrical outer cover, a tapered inner baffle plate disposed in the tapered outer cover, and a first blocking member matched with an opening in the other end of the cylindrical outer cover. A top opening of the tapered outer cover is matched with an opening in one end of the cylindrical outer cover. A side wall opening of the cylindrical outer cover serves as a dust outlet. A first gap is formed in the tapered outer cover. A first dust suction port is formed between bottom openings of the tapered inner baffle plate and the tapered outer cover. A first drill pipe connecting port is formed in the first blocking member. A drill pipe of the mine drill passes through the first drill pipe connecting port to penetrate the dust suction hood on the drill pipe.
