Systems, methods, and apparatuses for real-time characterization of rock cuttings during rock drill cutting
A system, method, and apparatus for real-time characterization of drilled particles during a drilling operation can be comprised of a light illumination source to output short-wave-infrared (SWIR) light toward the drilled particles as the drilled particles exit a drill hole being drilled by a drilling machine; a sensor to sense reflected short-wave-infrared (SWIR) light reflected from the drilled particles exiting the drill hole; and processing circuitry operatively coupled to at least the sensor. The processing circuitry can be configured to determine a spectrum of the reflected short-wave-infrared light sensed by the sensor, and determine particle characterization for a portion of the drilled particles by performing hyperspectral analysis on the determined spectrum and based on predetermined candidate particle characterizations.

DUST SUPPRESSION METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AN AUTONOMOUS DRILLING MACHINE
A method for dust suppression for an autonomous drilling machine operating at a work site. The method comprises of generating by a perception module perception data of the work site, receiving at least one machine parameter from a machine sensor of the autonomous drilling machine, predicting by a controller a dust level for the autonomous drilling machine at the work site based on one of the perception data or the machine parameter, determining a fluid discharge rate for a fluid discharge unit based on the predicted dust level, and adjusting the fluid discharge rate based on dust level detected during the drilling operation.
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for identifying groundwater during rock drill cutting
A system, method, and apparatus can identify groundwater as a drilling machine drills a drill hole. Presence or not of groundwater can be continuously monitored as the drilling machine drills the drill hole using one or more groundwater or moisture sensors to detect moisture or water content of cuttings from the drill hole. Such data from the sensor(s) can be processed to determine the presence or not of groundwater and associate the determination with the corresponding location within the drill hole. A mapping or logging of the drill hole can be generated with the location or locations where the presence of groundwater is identified.
