A device, system, and/or method for hanging a casing in a borehole operation are provided. A gripping feature may be included on an inner surface of a larger casing. Then, a smaller casing is positioned within the larger casing, and the outer diameter of the smaller casing or the hanging mechanism is expanded to contact the larger casing's gripping feature. The result is a secure engagement between the two casings. This gripping feature may comprise grooves cut into the inner surface of the larger casing wherein the grooves may have a groove density, an uphole groove angle, a downhole groove, an orientation, and other features that improve the engagement between the two casings.

Modular anti-rotation drilling systems and methods

A modular anti-rotation device for preventing rotation with respect to the central axis of a drilling tool in a borehole and for producing a notch in a borehole surface. The anti-rotation device includes an upper fixture portion and a lower fixture portion in axial alignment. The upper fixture portion and the lower fixture portion are connected by yoke assemblies. Each yoke assembly is connected to the fixture portion and fixture portion at one end, and forming an articulated joint of the upper yoke assembly and the lower yoke assembly at a distal end opposite the first end. A roller is connected at each joint, connecting the upper and lower yoke assemblies. The rollers engage vertically with a borehole surface, the rollers travelling axially, as a drill shaft penetrates into the borehole, the rollers simultaneously preventing radial movement of the anti-rotation device and prevent rotation with respect to the central axis of the borehole.

Chemical injection system for completed wellbores

A resource exploration and recovery system includes a first system and a second system extending into a wellbore. The second system includes a completion having a casing defining a wellbore internal diameter. A chemical injection tubing extends from the first system into the completion. The chemical injection tubing includes a terminal end portion. A chemical introduction system is arranged at the first system and is fluidically connected to the chemical injection tubing. The chemical introduction system is operable to deliver a chemical into the chemical injection tubing. A chemical injector assembly is mounted to the terminal end portion. The chemical injection system includes an anchor and a chemical injector valve.

Connector apparatus

Apparatus and method for sealingly connecting tubular members in a wellbore. In an arrangement where a portion of a tubular member is radially expanded into sealing contact within a second tubular member, and the second tubular member has circumferential recesses on an inner surface, a resilient member protrudes from a side wall of the recesses. The resilient member is acted on by the portion of the tubular member during expansion and maintains sealing contact to the portion after expansion.

TORQUE CONNECTOR SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, AND METHODS

A tubular string comprises a plurality of torque connectors connecting a plurality of tubular members. At least one torque connector of the plurality of torque connectors comprises a pin component threadably connected to the box component. The pin comprises a three torque shoulders corresponding to three surfaces of the box component. In at least one embodiment, a sacrificial material is deposited between one of the torque shoulders and one of the surfaces to provide additional torque capacity to the torque connector. Additional apparatus, methods, and systems are disclosed.

WELL COMPLETION SYSTEM AND METHOD, DRILLED WELL EXPLOITATION METHOD, USE OF SAME IN THE EXPLOITATION/EXTRACTION OF DRILLED WELLS, PACKAGING CAPSULE, TELESCOPIC JOINT, VALVE AND INSULATION METHOD, AND VALVE ACTUATION SYSTEM, SELECTION VALVE AND USE OF SAME, CONNECTOR AND ELECTROHYDRAULIC EXPANSION JOINT

The present invention describes a completion system for drilled wells having valves mechanisms, drives, sensors and devices able to promote an exploration of wells, safer, more efficient and, therefore, more economically viable. Specifically, the present invention comprises a system allowing the installation of smart completion in single or multiple producing zones, comprising valves mechanisms, drives, sensors, between other devices disclosed by the present invention. The present invention is in the fields of petroleum engineering and mechanic engineering.

Annular barrier with press connections

An annular barrier for providing zonal includes a tubular metal part, and an expandable metal sleeve surrounding the tubular metal part. The expandable metal sleeve has a first end part, a second end part and an outer face, and at least one of the end parts includes at least one circumferential groove facing the outer part face, wherein the tubular metal part bulges radially outwards in relation to the axial extension, forming at least one circumferential projection engaging the groove, thus providing a connection of the expandable metal sleeve to the tubular metal part.

OPEN TIP DOWNHOLE EXPANSION TOOL

An open tip downhole expansion tool including a frustoconical member having a base at a diametrically smaller portion of the frustoconical member and a tip at a diametrically larger portion of the frustoconical member, the member having a radially outer zone and a radially inner zone and having an axial length extending from the base to the tip; an outer void in a material of the member along a length of the radially outer zone; and an inner void in a material of the member along a length of the radially inner zone, the outer and inner voids being located at different positions along the axial length of the frustoconical member, the outer and inner voids each causing the frustoconical member to present a first resistance to deformation when the voids are open and a higher resistance to deformation of the frustoconical member when the voids are collapsed.
