The housing has an inner wall with an elliptical profile with major and minor axes. The stator has an outer wall and a double ellipsoid profile corresponding to the major and minor axes. The crank shaft is disposed at a junction of the major and minor axes, rotating about a spin axis orthogonal to the profiles. The rotor has an annular circular profile disposed between the inner and outer walls. The rotor turns on the crank shaft. The vanes radially slide within the rotor as the crank shaft rotates and as the vanes turn within the inner and outer walls.
Control of chamber combustion and operation of a guided-vane rotary internal combustion engine
A guided-vane rotary internal combustion engine including a plurality of working chambers which are separated from one another by way of vane assemblies which rotate with a rotor assembly about an axis employs a rotor assembly having a plurality of sectors wherein each sector is associated with a corresponding working chamber and a plurality of spark plugs wherein each spark plug is mounted within a corresponding sector for igniting an air/fuel mixture contained within a corresponding working chamber. A rotor disk is mounted upon the rotor assembly for rotation therewith and acts as a distributor through which energizing charges are conducted to the spark plugs. In addition, a controller is utilized for selectively activating or de-activating the working chambers of the engine upon the occurrence of a predetermined event.
FREE ROTARY FLUID MACHINE
There is provided a free rotary fluid machine including: a main body which is provided in a hollow cylindrical shape, and has an elliptical inner circumferential surface; a rotor which is provided in the main body, and rotates about the same rotation center as the main body; tip seals which are provided at one side of the rotor so as to be in contact with the inner circumferential surface of the main body; and blades which are provided between the tip seals provided adjacent to each other, and supported by the tip seals, in which the blade has one end surface that faces the inner circumferential surface of the main body, and the other end surface that is opposite to one end surface, and centers of radii of curvature of one end surface and the other end surface are positioned at the same side. As described above, a space formed among the inner circumferential surface of the main body, the rotor, and the tip seal is sealed by the auxiliary tip seal, and as a result, it is possible to reduce friction between the tip seal and the main body and to prevent a leak of an introduced working fluid.
Unitary pump and turbine energy exchanger
A positive-displacement unitary pump and turbine is operable as a fluid energy exchanger using a charging fluid as motive force and acting upon a separate feed fluid that exits the turbine at an elevated energy state. The rotor casing defines a rotor chamber having a contoured wall that forms a plurality of lobes, typically in an even number. Each lobe has an inlet port and an outlet port defined by the contoured wall, and the rotor has a plurality of vanes that follow the contoured wall as the rotor spins. The rotor is driven by the charging fluid entering first and second lobes, located generally opposite one another, and exiting the lobes at a lower energy state. The driven rotor is operable to elevate the energy level of a feed fluid in third and fourth lobes, located generally opposite one another.
ROTARY-VANE MECHANISM FOR ENGINES AND COMPRESSORS
A rotary-vane mechanism can include a rotor and a casing, wherein the rotor includes a drive shaft and one or more vanes. The casing can include a quasi-cylindrical tubular shell or a quasi-spherical shell, and can provide walls that support the drive shaft. The rotor can be mounted within the casing. The drive shaft can extend outward from the casing, wherein the drive shaft touches the inner surface of the casing in one or more contact locations, with the contact location(s) provided by a sealing plate. The casing can include intake ports, exhaust ports, ports for an ignition mechanism, wherein the intake ports are provided with one-way valves. The drive shaft can include one or more guide slots, which can penetrate through the drive shaft wherein the vane(s) is located inside the guide slot(s), and edges of the vane(s) can constantly touch the inner surface of the casing during a rotor rotation of the rotor. Each vane can possess a rectangular shape or a discoid shape, and the sealing plate or a sealing ring can be located along an edge of the vane(s). The rotor and the casing can form isolated spaces inside the rotary-vane mechanism and during the rotor rotation can provide three work strokes for an engine, and two strokes for a compressor.
Arc turbine
An arc turbine system includes an elliptical housing, a rotor having two sliding channels positioned centrically to the housing, and two sliding arcs disposed within the rotor sliding channels and slide therein. The sliding arcs are engaging the housing simultaneously at both ends in a near friction-free environment supported by repulsion force of like-pole magnets. Four chambers disposed within two static chambers between the rotor and the long-axis of said housing, the two static chambers further include proper inlet and outlet ports configured to allow fluid and gas flow into and flow out of the static chambers. The system configured in two distinct settings for two distinct uses. 1) To generate dense rotating energy with optimum efficiency, and high power-to-weight ratio by burning fuel and 2) to pump, compress, vacuum, convey, pressurize, turbocharge, allow precision and micro-movement of gas and liquid, conversion of pressurized gas and liquid to rotating energy, all with optimum efficiency, near-zero vibration, near-zero friction, capability of handling all viscous fluids and 100% increased flow rate using dual inlet and dual outlet ports.
