MULTI-CYLINDER ROTARY ENGINE HAVING TRIANGULAR CYLINDER
The present invention relates to a multi-cylinder rotary engine having triangular cylinders. The present invention only applies to a multiple-type rotary engine having triangular cylinders and an elliptical rotor piston, from among rotary engines having various structures. Therefore, by applying a serial type of the present invention, whereas a parallel type has to be used in a multi-cylinder type engine according to the prior art, effects of addressing a rotation error during operation and improving durability are achieved because an integrated-type crank shaft, rather than a separated assembly type which is complicated and weak at a crank shaft portion, can be used. Also, in the serial-type structure, as the number of components such as parallel shafts, gears, etc. is greatly reduced, the size of the engine is also reduced to improve economic efficiency, and moreover, noise and a failure rate are lowered, which ultimately contributes to the extension of the lifespan of the engine and miniaturization of the engine. In addition, although ignition and explosion locations of the cylinders are different from each other, deformation at one side (ignition, explosion, and opposite position), which is one of the problems of rotary engines, is reduced, and thus, an effect of contributing to the extension of the lifespan of the engine is provided.
Rotary roller motor
A rotary roller motor is disclosed herein. The rotary roller motor is a four-stroke internal combustion engine, wherein the rotor “rolls” around the inside of the engine block. The rotor is a two-part rotor having an inner part with a shaft and an offset circular lobe, and an outer rotor fit around the lobe. Two barriers are provided around the rotor chamber, a compression/power barrier and an exhaust/intake barrier. The combustion chamber has a non-reversing compression barrier and a compression hold barrier regulating the combustion of gas.
Rotary internal combustion engine with unequal volumetric ratios
A rotary internal combustion engine including a rotor assembly where at least a first and a second of the combustion chambers have unequal theoretical volumetric ratios. Also, a rotary internal combustion engine including first and second rotor assemblies where at least one of the combustion chambers of the first rotor assembly and at least one of the combustion chambers of the second rotor assembly have unequal effective volumetric compression ratios and/or unequal effective volumetric expansion ratios.
Compound engine assembly with common inlet
A compound engine assembly including an air conduit having an inlet in fluid communication with ambient air around the compound engine assembly, a compressor having an inlet in fluid communication with the air conduit, an engine core including at least one rotary internal combustion engine and having an inlet in fluid communication with an outlet of the compressor, a turbine section having an inlet in fluid communication with an outlet of the engine core and configured to compound power with the engine core; and at least one heat exchanger in fluid communication with the air conduit, each heat exchanger configured to circulate a fluid of the engine assembly in heat exchange relationship with an airflow from the air conduit circulating therethrough. A method of supplying air to a compound engine assembly is also discussed.
PISTON MACHINE, MODULAR CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM FOR A PISTON MACHINE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PISTON MACHINE
The invention relates to a modular construction system for a piston machine (100), comprising at least two separate housing parts capable of being joined together into a housing (1) of the piston machine (100), a piston (15) which is configured as a swivel element, is pivotable and is able to be arranged in the housing (1), and a housing cover (7) for covering the housing (1). The piston machine (100) is in particular configured as a modular construction system, the components of which are formed by multiple segments and joined together in a horizontal and a vertical direction in each case. The invention further relates to a piston machine (100) produced using the modular construction system and to a method for producing a piston machine (100).
Rotary actuator
A cylinder is installed within a case, and an output shaft and an arm that is integrated thereto and extends in a radial direction are installed within the cylinder. A piston extending in an arc slides and is displaced in a circumferential direction of the cylinder within the cylinder. One end portion of the piston is rotatably connected to the arm. The cylinder is internally provided with a first pressure chamber in which the arm is housed and a second pressure chamber in which the other end portion of the arm is slidably installed. A pressure medium is fed into one of the first and second pressure chambers and discharged from the other, and the output shaft pivots in a rotational direction.
