The present invention can achieve a variable valve mechanism having a simple and compact configuration. A variable valve mechanism changes an opening/closing timing of an intake valve or an exhaust valve in response to an engine rotation speed. The variable valve mechanism includes: a cam sprocket which rotates in response to a rotation of a crank shaft; an intake cam shaft which is integrated with an intake cam; an exhaust cam shaft which is integrated with an exhaust cam; and a governor flange that transmits a rotation of the cam sprocket to the intake cam shaft and the exhaust cam shaft. The intake cam shaft and the exhaust cam shaft are formed so that the other cam shaft is inserted through one cam shaft to be relatively rotatable. The governor flange is provided to rotate along with the intake cam shaft and rotates relative to the cam sprocket under a predetermined condition.

CAMSHAFT ADJUSTER

The disclosure relates to a vane type camshaft adjuster for a motor vehicle drive train. The camshaft adjuster having a stator, a rotor arranged such that it can rotate relative to the stator, working chambers formed between the stator and the rotor, each working chamber being divided into two sub-chambers by a radially projecting blade of the rotor, and a reservoir connected to the sub-chambers for storing hydraulic medium. The sub-chambers can be connected to a pump or a tank according to a switch position of a control valve of the camshaft adjuster. The control valve has a switch position in which a first sub-chamber of the two sub-chambers is connected to the tank and a second sub-chamber of the two sub-chambers is blocked from the pump.

Recirculating hydraulic fluid control valve

A hydraulic fluid control valve (HFCV) configured to recirculate an exiting hydraulic fluid from a first hydraulic actuation chamber to a second hydraulic actuation chamber is provided. The HFCV includes a spring well that combines a hydraulic fluid received from a hydraulic fluid pressure source with a recirculated hydraulic fluid from the first hydraulic actuation chamber and delivers the combination to the second hydraulic actuation chamber.

A valve opening and closing timing control device includes a driving-side rotating body, a driven-side rotating body, a stopper configured to determine a mechanical limit of a displacement region of a relative rotation phase, a phase control mechanism configured to change the relative rotation phase, and a control unit configured to control the electric motor so as to displace the actual phase detected by a phase sensor. A limit phase at which the stopper reaches an abutting state is set in advance when rotation of the electric motor is stopped while the internal combustion engine operates. Upon executing stop control of stopping the internal combustion engine, except when the actual phase is already the limit phase, the control unit executes braking control of limiting the rotation of the electric motor by controlling an electric current to be supplied to the electric motor.

Phaser positioning control is improved by reducing inaccuracies resulting from inadvertent spool valve and/or phaser movement when the spool valve is commanded between regions. The present disclosure provides a camshaft phase adjuster, including: a stator provided with a plurality of hydraulic chambers; a rotor rotatably disposed in the stator and provided with a basic body and a plurality of blades fixed to the basic body, the basic body has a first end surface and the second end surface which face opposite directions along an axial direction, the plurality of blades are arranged in intervals along the circumferential direction and divide the hydraulic chambers into first pressure chambers and second pressure chambers, respectively; wherein the basic body is provided with a plurality of first oil holes and a plurality of second oil holes which are communicated with the first pressure chambers and the second pressure chambers, respectively, the second oil hole is provided with at least two oil sub-holes, a first oil sub-hole extends along a radial direction of the basic body and is located on a same plane, with the first oil hole, perpendicular to a central axis of the rotor, the first oil sub-hole communicates with the second pressure chamber, and the second oil sub-hole penetrates through the first end surface along an axial direction of the basic body. Accordingly, technical solution of the present disclosure solves the problems of large in axial dimension and great in mass of existing camshaft phase adjusters.

The present disclosure provides a CVVT system including: an OCV supplying oil received from a cylinder block into a CVVT; an oil supply unit supplying oil from the OCV to a lock pin; and an actuator selectively opening or closing the oil supply unit such that oil is supplied to the lock pin and the lock pin is separated from a lock pin hole when the oil supply unit is opened.
