TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLING WATER VALVE
A temperature-controlling water valve is provided. An adjusting assembly is assembled within the water valve and includes an adjusting member, a first elastic member, a blocking member and an abutting member. The first elastic member biases the abutting member, and the blocking member is fixed to the adjusting member to block the abutting member from detaching from a receiving hole of the adjusting member. A temperature-controlling assembly includes a valve member and a second elastic member biasing the valve member. Thermal expansion or contraction of a rod member of the valve member drives the valve member to move so that an overlapping area of the valve member and a first passageway of the water valve and an overlapping area of the valve member and a second passageway of the water valve change.

Oil temperature control assembly
An oil temperature control assembly mounts on a vehicle's operating group fluidically connected to an oil circulation system and a cooling system. A heat exchanger has plate-shaped exchanger elements defining reciprocally alternate ducts through which oil and refrigerant fluid flow, and a support and oil control device. The support and oil control device has a plate-shaped base element including the oil inlet and outlet ducts having a first surface in contact and engageable by the heat exchanger and a second opposite surface. The support and oil control device includes a control group having a housing body projecting from the first surface next to the heat exchanger having a housing cavity fluidically connected to the inlet and outlet ducts and an exchanger duct and a valve member in the housing cavity including an obturator element and a control element which moves the obturator element according to oil operating conditions.
TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED HEAT EXCHANGER BYPASS FOR AN ELECTRIC MOTOR
Various disclosed embodiments include oil systems, electric motors, and vehicles. In an illustrative embodiment an electrical motor system includes an oil reservoir, a motor, and an oil delivery system. The oil reservoir is configured to hold oil therein. The oil delivery system includes a heat exchanger. The oil delivery system is configured to operate in a low-temperature mode, bypassing the heat exchanger, while the oil temperature is below a first predetermined temperature; operate in a high-temperature mode, directing oil traversing the oil delivery system through the heat exchanger while the oil temperature is above a second predetermined temperature; and operate in an intermediate-temperature mode, partially bypassing the heat exchanger while the oil temperature is between the first predetermined temperature and the second predetermined temperature.
GDCI engine with accelerated oil warm-up
A piston oil squirter is selectively opened when an oil temperature is below a threshold oil temperature to transfer heat from the combustion chamber and heat the oil more rapidly when the engine is cold.
Lubricant system
A lubricant system for supplying lubrication to a component in a turbine engine includes a lubricant reservoir, a supply line fluidly coupling the lubricant reservoir to the component in the turbine engine, a scavenge line fluidly coupling the component to the lubricant reservoir, and a bypass line fluidly coupling the supply line to the scavenge line and bypassing the component.
Thermostatic bypass valve
A thermostatic bypass valve functions to regulate fluid temperature and also to act as a pressure relief valve using a single valve bore. The poppet valve includes a cylinder with a chamber that is thermally immersed in a source passageway such that the valve state is determined by the temperature of the fluid flowing through the source passageway as opposed to the fluid flowing through a return passageway. When the fluid in the source passageway is hot, a poppet is forced against the return passageway side of a valve seat. The poppet may either be rigidly attached to the cylinder or may slide with respect to the cylinder and be forced against the valve seat by a spring. A piston may either be rigidly attached to the housing or may be forced toward the valve seat by a spring.
APPARATUS FOR MONITORING AN OIL THERMOSTAT
The invention relates to an apparatus for monitoring an oil thermostat arranged in an oil circuit of an internal combustion engine. The apparatus comprises a sensor unit (4, 14b; 15) which is designed to determine at least one first parameter, by means of which a current setpoint operation of the oil thermostat (10) can be derived, and to determine at least one second parameter, by means of which a current actual operation of the oil thermostat (10) can be derived. The apparatus further comprises an evaluation device (40), which is designed to detect an onset of an error function of the oil thermostat (10) as a function of the first parameter and the second parameter.
HYBRID INTERCOOLER SYSTEM CAPABLE OF CONTROLLING OIL TEMPERATURE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
A hybrid intercooler system is provided to adjust an oil temperature. The system includes an air cooling unit that exchanges heat with external air passing through outer surfaces of a plurality of compressed intake air channels and cools compressed intake air passing through interiors of the compressed intake air channels. A water cooling unit exchanges heat between engine cooling water enclosing the outer surfaces of the compressed intake air channels and the compressed intake air passing through the interiors of the compressed intake air channels and cools the compressed intake air. Additionally, an oil temperature controller exchanges heat between oil and the engine cooling water that is heated by the heat exchange performed by the water cooling unit and adjusts the temperature of the oil.
