SOUND SYSTEM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
20170229108 · 2017-08-10 ·

A sound system for a motor vehicle exhaust gas system for emitting emulated engine sounds, including at least one loudspeaker and at least one housing accommodating at least one loudspeaker. The housing is mounted separately from a motor vehicle exhaust gas system in terms of the routing of an exhaust gas flow, at least one sound guidance tube having an outlet zone being mounted on the housing.

Active design of exhaust sounds

A sound generator (1) includes a casing (10) with at least one exhaust gas inlet (11) and at least one exhaust gas outlet (12) that is different from the at least one exhaust gas inlet (11) and at least one electro-acoustical transducer (20). The electro-acoustical transducer (20) is configured to produce sound in dependence on an electrical control signal. The electro-acoustical transducer (20) is located within the casing or directly attached to the casing. An active noise control system (9) includes the sound generator (1). A vehicle (8) with an internal combustion engine (6) includes the active noise control system (9).

EMISSION SIGNATURE MODIFICATION DEVICE
20170218805 · 2017-08-03 ·

An emission signature modification device for modifying an acoustic signature of an exhaust gas stream, including an exhaust gas guiding device that guides the exhaust gas stream in the flow direction thereof from an inlet area to an outlet area. An active acoustic emission modification device modifies the acoustic emission of the exhaust gas stream in predetermined operating states. If an actuator system of the active acoustic emission modification device is designed such that in a circumferential direction, the actuator system is surrounded by more than 30% of the guided exhaust gas stream, the actuating system can be protected against harmful influences from the environment by way of the exhaust gas guiding device on the one hand, and on the other hand, the required space signifier can be reduced as compared to a lateral, external arrangement of the actuating system.

WASTE AIR EXHAUSTING DEVICE HAVING FUNCTIONALITY TO ABATE NOISE AND MODULATE NOISE FREQUENCY
20170268395 · 2017-09-21 ·

Differing from conventionally-used exhaust pipe utilizing discontinuous section area(s) and sound-absorbing material(s) to abate the noise produced by an engine, the present invention provides a waste air exhausting device consisting of: a housing, a supporting plate disposed in the housing, a miniature microphone disposed at the end of the housing, and a loudspeaker disposed on the supporting plate. Therefore, according to the noise produced by the engine, a noise controller system coupling to the miniature microphone and the loudspeaker is able to produce an anti-noise signal through the loudspeaker for abating the engine noise. On the other hand, the noise controller system can also produce an anti-noise signal having specific frequencies components according to the frequency of the engine noise and a reference signal, so as to modulate the frequency of the engine noise by broadcasting the anti-noise signal having the specific frequencies components in the housing through the loudspeaker.

VEHICULAR INDEPENDENT SOUND FIELD FORMING DEVICE AND VEHICULAR INDEPENDENT SOUND FIELD FORMING METHOD

An in-car personalized sound field forming device which communicates with a device for providing a sound source according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a storage unit configured to store a filter coefficient for converting the sound source so that a sound is concentrated in a predetermined focusing area in a vehicle; a communication unit configured to receive vehicle driving state information in the vehicle; and a control unit configured to update the filtering coefficient according to the vehicle driving state information received from the communication unit and control a volume adjustment range of the sound source so that the sound is reproduced in the focusing area.
