Cleaning system for a vehicle component
A cleaning system for removal of contaminants from a surface of a vehicle component exposed to a gas or fluid flow, the cleaning system comprising: an excitation device adapted to be attached to the vehicle component in the vicinity of the surface exposed to contaminants, wherein the excitation device is configured to cause the surface to mechanically vibrate by transferring a vibrational excitation to the surface; wherein the frequency of the vibrational excitation is controllable to be based on the configuration of the vehicle component as well as other modelled/measured parameters.
Device to convey a chemical reactant into the exhaust gas stream of a combustion engine
A device for supplying a chemical reactant into the exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, comprising: a mixer housing; a metering pipe passing through the mixer housing, towards which the exhaust flow flowing into the mixer housing flows in a transverse direction, and having a first end and a second end; a metering unit arranged at the first end of the metering pipe and connected to a reactant supply for discharging reactant into the metering pipe; and means for generating a swirl flow of the exhaust flow within the metering pipe. The metering pipe has at least one inflow opening extending over a casing surface segment of no less than 45° in the circumferential direction and extending over at least one section of the length of the metering pipe, said inflow opening having a shovel-like hood arranged on the metering pipe and directing the exhaust flow eccentrically into the inflow opening.
Device To Convey A Checmical Reactant Into The Exhaust Gas Stream Of A Combustion Engine
A device for supplying a chemical reactant into the exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, comprising: a mixer housing having an inlet opening through which the exhaust flow enters the mixer housing; a metering pipe passing through the mixer housing, towards which the exhaust flow flowing into the mixer housing flows in a transverse direction, and having a first end and a second end; a metering unit which is arranged at the first end of the metering pipe and can be connected to a reactant supply for discharging reactant into the metering pipe; and means for generating a swirl flow of the exhaust flow within the metering pipe. For this purpose, the metering pipe has at least one inflow opening extending over a casing surface segment of no less than 45° in the circumferential direction and extending over at least one section of the length of the metering tube located within the mixer housing, said in-flow opening having a shovel-like hood arranged on the metering pipe and directing the exhaust flow eccentrically into the in-flow opening.
System and Method for Removing Harmful Gas in Discharged Cleaning Solution of Exhaust Gas Treatment Apparatus
The present disclosure relates to a system and a method for removing noxious gas from cleaning liquid discharged from an exhaust gas treatment apparatus and, more particularly, to a system and a method for removing noxious gas from cleaning liquid discharged from an exhaust gas treatment apparatus, which are capable of adjusting the discharge rate of the cleaning liquid in a noxious gas removal unit, which removes noxious gas remaining in a gaseous state in the cleaning liquid discharged from the exhaust gas treatment apparatus and discharges the cleaning liquid from which the noxious gas in the gaseous state has been removed, on the basis of a result of measurement of the level of the cleaning liquid in the noxious gas removal unit.
Turbine waste heat recovery expander with passive method for system flow control
A waste heat recovery system for recovering rejected heat of an internal combustion engine includes a turbine expander. The turbine expander outputs power based on a working fluid and includes a turbine blade that is rotatable by the working fluid, a shaft that is coupled to and rotatable by the turbine blade and extends along a longitudinal axis, and a nozzle assembly for directing the working fluid to the turbine blade for rotating the turbine blade. The nozzle assembly includes a nozzle housing disposed about the shaft and adjacent the turbine blade, and a nozzle for accelerating the working fluid. The nozzle component defines a nozzle throat having a geometrical configuration. The waste heat recovery system further includes a passive control coupled to the nozzle component for directing the working fluid.

EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT DEVICE AND SMALL COMBUSTION INSTALLATION EQUIPPED THEREWITH
A heat-resistant body has a cavity for exhaust gas, which is open at opposite ends. The body has first wall portions, each of which delimits a first portion of the cavity. Each first wall portion has an outer region and an inner region which has planar protrusions which each extend from the outside region inward into the associated first cavity portion, the planar protrusions tapering along the longitudinal extent in their width directed perpendicularly to the longitudinal extent and being mutually laterally spaced. Each planar protrusion of a first wall portion is rotated or shifted relative to a planar protrusion of an adjacent first wall portion. The body has second wall portions, each of which delimits a second portion of the cavity and is disposed between two adjacent first wall portions. The cross-sectional area of each second cavity portion is larger than the cross-sectional area of each first cavity portion.
