MIXING TUBE

The invention relates to a mixer for an exhaust gas system for mixing an additive into an exhaust gas flow of an internal combustion engine, having a first shell and at least a second shell which are arranged successively in the circumferential direction in relation to a center axis, each shell having at least two shell edges that are arranged offset in the circumferential direction and which each form a flow edge, wherein the flow edges of two circumferentially adjacent shell edges of two different shells delimit an inflow opening, such that at least one pipe end arranged coaxially with the center axis is provided with a circumferential pipe profile that has a nominal radius Rn and is used for connection to an exhaust pipe, the pipe end being formed by the circumferentially adjacent shells.

EXHAUST DISCHARGE SYSTEM

An exhaust discharge system and method of assembling is disclosed. The exhaust discharge system may comprises an ejector tube and an exhaust stack. The ejector tube includes an outlet having an outlet cross-section. The ejector tube is configured to convey treated exhaust to the outlet. The outlet cross-section is oriented at an outlet angle to a first horizontal plane. The exhaust stack includes a first conduit and a second conduit. The second conduit includes an exit port. The exit-port cross-section is oblong in shape.

Exhaust system and muffler

A muffler for use with an internal combustion engine is provided. The muffler includes a first tube configured to receive a first exhaust stream. The first tube includes a first inlet portion, a first outlet portion spaced apart from the first inlet portion, and a first intermediate portion extending between the first inlet portion and the first outlet portion. The muffler also includes a second tube configured to receive a second exhaust stream. The second tube includes a second inlet portion, a second outlet portion spaced apart from the second inlet portion, and a second intermediate portion extending between the second inlet portion and the second outlet portion. The first intermediate portion and the second intermediate portion cross each other, are at least partially stacked on each other, and are in fluid communication with each other.

Line element with damping element

A line element includes an inner element, an outer element surrounding the inner element, and a damping element arranged between the inner element and the outer element. The damping element can be made, for example, of knitted wire fabric or a stripwound hose. The damping element can be made in particular of a more easily wearing material than the outer element and/or the inner element, for example of copper.

An exhaust purification device includes a casing which accommodates a purifier that purifies exhaust gas of an engine mounted on a vehicle and in which a flow direction of the exhaust gas corresponds to a longitudinal direction of the casing, an inlet opening at a first longitudinal end of the casing, an outlet opening provided at a second longitudinal end of the casing, a first pipe connected to the inlet opening, and a second pipe connected to the outlet opening. A cross section of at least one of a connecting end of the first pipe for the casing and a connecting end of the second pipe for the casing is in a flattened shape as a dimension of the cross section in the longitudinal direction of the casing is shorter than a dimension of the cross section in a lateral direction of the casing.

Muffler

One aspect of the present disclosure provides a muffler including an exhaust pipe and a space forming member. The exhaust pipe has a cylindrical shape having a flow passage inside through which exhaust gas passes. The space forming member forms closed spaces between itself and the exhaust pipe, the closed spaces being branched from the flow passage and adjacent to the flow passage. Each of the closed spaces and the flow passage communicate with one another via a single communication hole.

An engine is equipped with an engine body, a turbocharger, an exhaust gas purifier, an exhaust communication pipe. The turbocharger is connected to the engine body. The exhaust gas purifier purifies exhaust gas discharged from the turbocharger. The exhaust communication pipe connects the turbocharger with the exhaust gas purifier. The exhaust communication pipe includes: a first connection member that is connected to the turbocharger, and a second connection member that connects the first connection member with the exhaust gas purifier. A downstream end portion of the first connection member has an inner peripheral face having a cross-section of a circular shape. An upstream end portion of the first connection member has an inner peripheral face having a cross-section of an abnormal-shape that is different from the inner peripheral face of the downstream end portion.

Muffler

A muffler including a double-pipe structure to muffle sounds in two or more frequencies is provided. The muffler includes an inner and outer pipes with a clearance therebetween. The inner pipe includes a first and second outer surfaces, and, at one end, an opening communicating with the outer pipe. The clearance communicates with an exhaust passage via the opening. The second outer surface forms the opening and is situated closer to the center of the inner pipe than the first outer surface is. A space between the inner and outer pipes is closed due to a contact between the first outer surface and an inner-circumferential surface of the outer pipe. A part of the clearance is formed between the first outer surface and the inner-circumferential surface. The outer-circumferential surfaces of the inner pipe include at least one communication hole that communicates the inner pipe with the clearance.

Exhaust pipe

The exhaust pipe comprises an inlet pipe, an outlet pipe and a bend portion arranged between the inlet pipe and the outlet pipe. The bend portion comprises an inlet bend and an outlet bend, wherein a central bend portion defines an intermediate section of inlet bend and outlet bend and wherein the inlet bend and the outlet bend each cover 50 percent of the total bend angle covered by the bend portion. The central bend portion comprises a diameter, which is smaller than a diameter of the inlet bend and of the outlet bend in a bending plane. In addition a bend radius R of the bend portion varies along the bend portion such that a bend radius of the inlet bend is larger than a bend radius of the outlet bend.

EXHAUST MECHANISM AND WORKING VEHICLE

An exhaust mechanism includes an exhaust pipe, an exhaust port, and a baffle plate. The exhaust pipe has one end connected to an engine and another end opposite to the one end along a length of the exhaust pipe. The exhaust port is provided at another end of the exhaust pipe and extends in a first direction inclined from the height direction along a height of the work vehicle. A length of the exhaust port in the height direction is shorter than a length of the exhaust port in the transverse direction perpendicular to a plane including the first direction and the height direction. The baffle plate is provided in the exhaust port and configured to change an exhaust gas flow from the first direction to the transverse direction.
