Catalytic converter anti-theft devices and systems are described.
Electrically-heated mix pipe for processing diesel exhaust fluid in a selective catalytic reduction system
An exhaust treatment assembly for receiving exhaust gas from a motor vehicle includes a mix pipe, a sheath, and a heater. The mix pipe at least partially defines a passage adapted to receive the exhaust gas and a chemical reductant. The sheath includes a first end fluidly sealed to the mix pipe. At least a portion of the sheath is radially spaced apart from the mix pipe to at least partially define a gap. The heater is disposed in the gap. The heater is adapted to heat a reductant impingement surface.
Panel assembly and aftertreatment assembly including panel assemblies
A panel assembly includes a panel member, a frame member, and at least one first bar member, and at least one second bar member. The at least one first bar member and the at least one second bar member divide the panel member into a plurality of first areas defining a first height and a first width. The panel assembly also includes a plurality of support arrangements for dividing each first area into a plurality of second areas. Each support arrangement includes a first support member defining a first length such that the first width defined by the first area is greater than the first length. Each support arrangement also includes a second support member defining a second length such that the first height defined by the first area is greater than the second length.
Heating member for a vehicle exhaust gas purification device
A heating member for a vehicle exhaust gas purification device includes an electrically conductive outer peripheral frame that has a geometric center and is symmetrical about an axis. An electrically conductive central support is centered on the geometric center, and a perforated heating grid is centered on the geometric center. The heating grid extends between the electrically conductive central support and the electrically conductive outer peripheral frame. The heating grid is formed of a plurality of strands connected by nodes, with the plurality of strands delimiting openings therebetween.
Compact Inline Inlet With Integrated Cast Ring
An exhaust gas aftertreatment system for a vehicle includes a cylindrical inner shell, a cylindrical outer shell, an inner end cap, a metal mounting member, and an outer end cap. The inner shell is configured to guide exhaust gas. The outer shell forms a first gap to the inner shell. The inner end cap encloses an open end of the outer shell. The inner end cap includes a first axially-extending lip. The inner end cap is fixed to the inner shell. The outer end cap is fixed to the inner end cap. The outer end cap includes a second axially-extending lip. The outer end cap and the inner end cap cooperate to encapsulate the mounting member. The first axially-extending lip is sandwiched between the outer shell and the second axially-extending lip.
Heat-resistant, austenitic cast steel having excellent machinability and exhaust member made thereof
A heat-resistant, austenitic cast steel having excellent machinability comprising by mass 0.4-0.55% of C, 1-2% of Si, 0.5-1.5% of Mn, 18-27% of Cr, 8-22% of Ni, 1.5-2.5% of Nb, 0.01-0.3% of N, 0.1-0.2% of S, and 0.02-0.15% of Al, the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities, a machinability index I represented by the following formula: I=100×S+75×Al+0.75×Mn−10×C−2×Nb−0.25×Cr−0.15×Ni−1.2×N, wherein each element symbol represents % by mass of each element in the cast steel, meeting the condition of −3.0≦I≦+14.0, and an exhaust member made thereof.
HIGH-STRENGTH FERRITIC STAINLESS STEEL FOR CLAMP AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A high-strength ferritic stainless steel for clamp includes, in percent (%) by weight of the entire composition, C: 0.04 to 0.1%, Si: 0.2 to 0.6%, Mn: 0.01 to 1.5%, Cr: 14.0 to 18.0%, Al: 0.005 to 0.2%, V: 0.005 to 0.2%, N: 0.02 to 0.1%, the remainder of iron (Fe) and other inevitable impurities, and satisfies following formulas (1) and (2), and the number of precipitates with an average diameter of 0.5 μm or less is 2.5×10.sup.6 pieces/mid or more: (1) 0.35%≤Si+Al+V≤0.6% and (2) 0.09%≤C+N≤0.12%.
The heating grid is formed of a plurality of strands connected by nodes, with the plurality of strands delimiting openings there between.
Diesel exhaust fluid injection shield and diesel exhaust fluid injection system
A shield for a diesel exhaust fluid injector is mounted in an opening in a side wall of an exhaust gas aftertreatment system of an internal combustion engine.
